Wilt was a shade over 7-1, and Shaq was a shade under 7-1.

Wilt also had a longer wingspan, 7-8 to 7-7, and was a MUCH better leaper.

And while Shaq weighed more, Wilt was considerably stronger.

To be very honest, I seriously doubt that Wilt was "only" 7-1 1/8th (which he, himself claimed), because he towered over the 6-11 and 7-0 players of his era. Not only that, but there were those that claimed he was as tall as 7-3. He was slightly shorter than Kareem, but then again, I don't believe KAJ was "only" 7-1 5/8ths either. I read articles at the time that had Wilt at 7-2 and KAJ at 7-2 1/2 (albeit they were sports publications.)

Looking at that photo above reminds me that my cousin met Hakeem today and Instagrammed it. Hakeem dwarfed him. I'm trying to imagine my cousin next to Yao :lol

We don't have any real proof how much any of them could lift (and even that doesn't translate directly to the strength on court), yet you claim Wilt was considerably stronger. Nothing short of amazing...:rolleyes:

Right on. Wilt once lifted a lion, while dunking, head above the rim.

Would easily avg 45 ppg and 38 rpg today.

Shaq was basically a poor man's Mikan at his peak.
