Arbitrary cutoffs are for the 3 minute ESPN audience that wants to see "since (arbitrary date)" records being broken to buy into the progressive construct. "Real NBA fans" know the games history. Future negged.

You might want to take a look at Nate Archibald, Allen Iverson, Pete Maravich (if you consider him a point guard), Jordan during the 88-89 season and a slew of other players.

Archibald was a point guard. So far you have proven to be about as educated an NBA fan as the cocky college kid who sat next to me at a bar last week and told me Dennis Rodman, the "center" for the Pistons and Bulls, wouldn't be able to play center in this era.

Remove this from the list. It took place in 1980. According to your "mid 1980's" criterion Magic's game doesn't qualify and took place during an irrelevant era. In no way is 1980 considered the "mid 1980's".

Was Jennings not playing in the first quarter, or did he just not score.

Cuz if he was out there and just didn't score, then he didn't have 55 points in 3 quarters, he had 55 points in 4 quarters.

The time will come (and it is already coming) when people for whom NBA starts from mid 80s and say that old players like Wilt and Oscar couldn't play in the modern game will need to arguing in future (10 to 15 years from now) to the younger posters that:

1) MJ could play today
2) Shaq is not only fat scrub who dominate in weak era
3) Ben Wallace doesn't outplay Shaq in 2004
3) there was NBA before 2000
4) Hakeem > Ibaka

And this is the time cycle.

Now it is scientifically proven that you are clown - putting 1980 game of Magic as one of the greatest ever and claiming at the same time that NBA prior to 1985 doesn't count.

I have one question for you ?

Doesn't matter, I'm 6'9'' and 240ish points, I could have probably put up Wilt numbers in any era before the 80s.

Your posts make me think that you are very young, which is not bad at all - because if you are a grown person let's say over 17 it will be very very sad, because you will be hardly considered a troll also.

So the questions is: Are you Shaquile O'Neal in the making ? 14-15 years old with 6-9 240 body ?

After having noticed this thread...you give his age too much credit. His posts don't mean he's young, they mean he's stupid (or a troll or both). Even a 14-15 year old knows how to use the "scientifically proven" phrase in a much more realistic way. Given his inclination of bullshitting, he's probably nowhere near 6-9 or 240, either.
