Yeah (maybe slightly biased since he played for us). Would've been nice if he gave us a fourth good year though, 2011 playoffs were brutal. :facepalm

i vote NO
why? theres a sh*t ton of guys with more all nba teams and allstar games with the same career average or better that arent in the hall of fame
and i only count championships if a guy is a defensive anchor, epic rebounder, scores over 20ppg, or is the main playmaker in the regular season and playoffs
gasol is none of these things

Yes he's definitely a Hall of Famer.
He has enough accomplishments and he's played like an all-star every year since entering the league. The last 2 years for him have been bad but that doesn't mean he shouldn't make it.
Dude beat kobe bryant in winshares. HOF bruh

most underrated player in history of the nba. He is a top 10 PF, who helped lead the lakers to ringz.

Yes he's definitely not a Hall of Famer.
He has enough accomplishments and he's played like an all-star 4 times since entering the league. The last 4 years for him have been bad but that doesn't mean he shouldn't make it. the fact that theres probably 40 guys not in the hall of fame with better resumes is..... 0 for 16 as leader in the playoffs shows his true value. and the only reason people want him in th e hall of fame is because they dont want kobe to be the only guy with multiple titles and no HOF sidekick

so.. without horry. no titles for a few teams. doesnt make him a hofer
some guys are key to winning a title here and there... but thats just part of the job
IMO a hof'er must have atleast
8-10 allstar games
6-7 all nba teams with atleast multiple a 1st or multiple 2nd teams
have an impact as leader ( if given the opportunity )
be a great scorer, or a great play maker, or a great rebounder, or a great defender
GASOL IS NONE OF THESE THINGS

if not for the hate for kobe around the world. nobody would think twice about gasol

Basically put the Lakers on his back to win 2 championships in 2009 and 2010
He is in the Hakeem Olajuwon level of back to back championships with a mediocre suporting cast
Heck if those FMVP's werent stolen from him he would be Top 25 all time.

Gasol is going to the hall of fame and he wont be the least accomplished players there by a long long long shot. You really need to make this topic again?
Also...one sign of someone not actually interested in the subject matter as much as furthering an agenda(Ive come to hate that word) is actually asking people not to explain themselves. Not that it was needed to see why you would make such a topic.

Horry was never an all-star
The lakers were one of the best team in rebounds for several years with Gasol....When Gasol began his decline in the 2011 playoffs, the Lakers were never the same after

Of course, Gasol was not a starting all-star, since Garnett, Duncan, Dirk was in the west....And secondly, sometimes the starting all-star is a popularity contest
Nobody will tell me that Kobe deserved to be an all-star in 2014, same thing for Iverson, Ming or McGrady in 2010 or 2011

still.. he lacks credentials... nobody would go into a doctors office and wanna schedule an operation if all he had was a highschool diploma or G.E.D hanging on the wall
gasol has less accomplishments individually than penny hardaway

Kenneth:
I see what you are trying to do here, and, as a fellow Kobe "stan", I am here to tell you that it is totally unnecessary. One needn't downgrade Pau Gasol in order to elevate the great Kobe Bean! In fact, I would argue just the opposite.
As we both know, basketball is an individual sport, like track & field or tennis. In the end, the goal is to put up as many shots as possible in the allotted time period. However, this isn't so simple as it may sound. Unlike those parlor games like "pop a shot", the NBA introduces many obstacles to make the contest more interesting. To hoist baskets, the player has to overcome the other 9 players on the court. Now consider how many great players Kobe has had as teammates-- players like Pau who surely desired the ball themselves. And yet, through this, Kobe was able to consistently lead the league in PER (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=324201)

Pau Gasol is a lock for the HOF.
How many players with 2 championships, 4 all-star selections and 3 all-nba teams selections are still not yet in the HOF?
(excluding active players and ex-players retired for less than 5 years)

You do realize the HoF is FAR more inclusive than this right?
Also, ASG? WTF cares? Thats a popularity contest. He did all the dirty work. He outplayed HoF Dwight Howard in 09, led the Lakers in Reg season, Postseason, and Finals WS in 2010. Thats 1A/1B stuff. If you are going to give Kobe credit for the first threepeat you have to give Gasol credit for those two Championships.

Dear Sir,
would you be so kind as to once again post the link to the excellent youtube video showing mr. Bryant's exquisite shot selection and his ability to make those difficult shots?
Best regards
Absolutely! Here it is: http://youtu.be/QZbgoC6MiSM
Look at how well Kobe dictates the offense even with future HOFer Pau Gasol demanding the ball time and time again!
