Last night, Twitter was full of people saying: "Michael Jordan would never ask out of a game because of cramps!" Well, it happened in 1997.

Michael Jordan asked to be subbed out of Game 4 of '97 Finals due to stomach cramps, writes @lazenby in his book "Michael Jordan: The Life."

Jordan asking out of Game 4 of the 97 NBA Finals due to cramping was overlooked at the time. But it happened, as I later revealed.

Well MJ isnt a person or a bball player anymore, hes a super hero. Like Tom Brady and Derek Jeter. The American public loves their superheroes, just like Klinsmann said. American betas love believing their favorite athletes are superhero prince charmings with otherworldly special abilities and infallible qualities here to save the day. American beta men are swooning idol worshippers like a bunch of bobby soxer teenage girls at a Sinatra concert. Theyre in love with their sports heroes. They think theyre perfect and love to narrate their stories with a science fiction tint rather than base them in reality.

It is what it is. :confusedshrug:

Came back after he went out, finished the game, played 42 minutes.

Anything else?

Since when were body cramps not a legitimate reason to ask out of a game?

I agree. Jordan has evolved into something larger than life. Why cant we just give James the benefit of the doubt and accept that he was seriously hurt. Why would he pull himself out if he wasn't?

LeBron would never get some groupie pregnant and then refuse to support his child. They're different in many ways.

I'm 100% rooting for the Spurs, but all of this LeBron hate makes this forum unbearable.

Lol at the morons who thinks lebron could have somehow played through leg cramps. Only issue I have is that he was suffering at about the 8-730 min mark. The medical staff for the Heat should be the ones catching the blame. They should have took him to the back and hooked his ass up to a IV and he may have been able to come back at the 4 min mark.

Im a Jordan fan but this guy just had bad luck at the wrong time It is what it is.
