Jazz hire Quin Snyder as Head Coach

The Utah Jazz announced today that the team has named Quin Snyder as head coach. Per team policy, financial terms were not released. Snyder is the eighth head coach in Jazz history and the fifth since the franchise’s relocation to Utah in 1979. Snyder will be formally introduced at a press conference on Saturday.

Well, Buford, Pop and now Lindsey all rated him, so that's 3 Spurs, which gives me some confidence in the hire. Out of the 4-5 guys they had on the short list I liked him and Griffin the best.

Apparently if Ettore Messina doesn't get a head coaching gig in the US, then Snyder will try and hire him as an assistant if he still wants to come over.

Jazz owners aren't the sort who'd put up with that kind of stuff. He's obviously convinced them he's past that sort of behavior and has cleaned his act up.
