Well tbh fans of LA and Boston, who make up a good % of nba fans, already had a de facto hatred of Lebron due to the threat he posed to their favorite player/teams lead-dog status. I mean kobe stans in particular have ALWAYS had a deep, deep fear/hatred of Lebron because of how devoted they are to kobes nuts.

But Lebron definitely upset the self righteous crowd with LeDecision. Had he done it in a less aggrandizing way and thanked Cleveland effusively, I think the backlash would have been less for certain, so that part is his fault. 1) In Cleveland, LeBron did not come off as a "respectable" or mature man. Dancing on the sidelines, his overall demeanor, the things he does, the things he says, etc.

2) LeBron is not an exciting player. Overall, his game is not exciting, but I want to specifically focus on DUNKS! Almost every dunk he does, is this same exact dunk. This one.

Kobe stans respect Jordan since their games were similar, and mostly succumb to Kobe not being as good as Jordan.

Something about LeBron attracts a lot of criticism and scrutiny. LeBron missed out on a father growing up to teach him how to do certain stuff and not half-hazardly.
