I expect a BIG game. Something along the lines of 21 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists on 42% shooting.

Spurs by 10.

2-0 Series lead.

Heat would have to win 4 out of the next 5 to win championship.

Lebron 2/5 in the NBA finals #striveforgreatness.

Just providing stats. They are 100% guaranteed to win the championship because they lost game 1. I will bump this thread when necessary.

That is correct. 100%

If Pop really was smart he would have purposely lost game 1.

Hmm, I don't know if I would call that a BIG game. It's hard to tell without the complete box score.

Do you expect LeBron to get the 21 in the "flow", on say, 6/13 FG and 8/10 FT? In my most humble opinion, that wouldn't be a BIG game.. just an "OK" one. You can easily see this by the unremarkable PER (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=324201)™ score of 23.

Or do you think LeBron will finally learn to go to the Kobe system in these times of duress, and get the 21 on something more like 6/24 FG and 8/13 FT? This would show true ball dominance and the PER of 37 would really show he is stepping up his game (any PER over 35 is a "SUPERIOR" performance in the scientific nomenclature).

Let's hope we see the latter, but from what I've seen of the "King", I kind of doubt it.

Warmest regards,

Ayotunde Ndiaye

I saw some footage of lebron today... Guy is still limping.. Walking with ALOT of pain.. I have no doubt he will still play... But I think is very unlikely now he will play 100%... Probably max 70-80% health..

If that happens heat are pretty much doomed in this game.. Spurs didn't play too well last game and if lebron isn't 100% well there is no chance they can defend the spurs

Spurs win comfortably 15-20 points.. Similar score line to game 1....

Lebron. Well it depends how close the game is... If they can keep it close he will probably go 25/8/7 or around there...
If spurs get a big lead I can see lebron sitting a lot in the last quarter so he can be healthy for game 3... In that case he will put up 18/5/4

SAN ANTONIO - LeBron James can't simply open the NBA Superstar Manual and turn to the part that reads: "In the event of a subpar game or any slight, real or perceived, exact revenge by dropping 50 points the next time out." That was the section that was edited by Michael Jordan, and it has dictated the expectations ever since. It's too difficult to apply in these NBA Finals because the San Antonio Spurs simply won't let it happen.

No opposing player has ever scored 50 points against the Spurs in a playoff game. And since Gregg Popovich took over as head coach in 1996 the Spurs have allowed an opponent to score 40 on them in the playoffs only seven times. The Spurs won four of the seven games.

Kobe Bryant has hung both 40 points and an L on the Spurs twice in the playoffs; scoring 45 in a Los Angeles Lakers victory on May 19, 2001, and 42 on May 11, 2004.
