that's like a crazy dunk that makes you go wow
instead of a crazy dunk that makes you go "you need to be on medicine"
there are people who are MAD
and Hibbert is starting to get just a little bit of it.

Hibbert flat out sucked balls during the second half of the season. He was nonexistent in the Playoffs as well. For $14M, I'd expect a little more than 9/6 (on 45%) and average defense.

Maybe it would be better for both sides if it happens.

I agree. But I don't see many teams wanting him esp after his recent performance and his huge contract (which has 2 years remaining) . Nevertheless, his defence has been good and consistent

How good or consistent can your defense be when you play 6 minutes in a game?
isnt he on something close to a max contract? who would even touch that

He basically plays bench player minutes. His defense was the reason the Pacers pushed the Heat to 7 last season. This season, he has been inconsistent at best. Don't get me wrong, he's a really good defender when focused, but he doesn't do it on a regular basis.

Teams not afraid to spend money.
The only teams I could see him going to are the Mavs and Knicks.
Really thats it.

He'd be a great fit next to Kevin Love

I think the Pacers should wait one more season before making any hasty moves with him :confusedshrug:
Did everyone forget how he was dominating during the first half of the season?

In the playoffs, everything every player does is under a microscope. What came easy in the regular season isn't coming easy anymore. Hibbert is turning 28 this year. I don't think a new team is going to turn him into an elite rebounder or scorer all of a sudden, but maybe new scenery will help mentally. Wouldn't mind him on the Spurs, but I'm partial to Splitter (who was one of the best bigs overseas before coming over) as he really understands the game and is also a great defender.

Pacers should try to trade Hibbert for Gortat.

Did everyone forget how he was dominating during the first half of the season?idk if "dominate" is the word you're looking for. Dude was getting massively overrated because all the Dwight haters looking for any random center they can even remotely put over him(Howard).

COME ON HIBB
Pacers have a good young team, they've been contending the last couple years... Stick with this shit and keep tryin to get better!
Fukc what the fans say, keep workin on your game and keep trying to improve. What better situation is out there? It's not like Hibbert is being held back by Indiana. They're being held back by his inconsistency. So get in the gym Hibbert and get your work on. Forget about the media. Keep choppin wood dawg!
edit: Didn't realize he was about to turn 28. Thought he was younger for some reason. Hmmmm.

28 is young. Plus he's been injury free for a while.

The Knicks haven't been fiscally irresponsible in years. Not to that level. The team you are thinking of is Nets. They are the team that brought in more bad contracts for expirers at the deadline. The Knicks are many things but not psycho spenders anymore...
Note: The Mavs haven't been spending like that either in years.

I'm assuming Hibbert, management, and his teammates have all had a falling out [didn't read the link in the op yet]. Sometimes, for whatever reason, it's best for both player and team to part ways. Especially when bridges are burned between players. Turmoil in the locker room is never good (seem to remember Hibbs saying "there's some selfish dudes in here" or something like that). David West, in the last couple months, didn't seem to like Hibbert at all.

Not bad for both teams. Indy gets a defensive C with championship experience. Knicks get a healthier C with better O.

With the way most teams play today, there won't be many suitors for a slow-footed 7-footer making 15m per year.

28 is young. Plus he's been injury free for a while.I don't think he meant "wow he's already 28" like he should be collecting social security checks; think he meant it by this is his prime and barring a Nash-like phenomenon he's not going to get any better.
