Kobe told Smush to get more accolades before he talks to him :facepalm

Tim Duncan actually knows how to pass a ball and not ball hog.

That's why Kobe bean is currently sitting on his couch eating potato chips, while Duncan is in another finals.

Parker literally had to win a title with Timmy before Timmy even spoke to him.

Try.

Again.

Crippled Kobe has watched Duncan lead his team to the Finals 2 years in a row while he could barely get to the Playoffs after recruiting every All Star available to come play with him. Crippled Kobe is about to watch Duncan take home his 5th ring and 4th FMVP at age 38 while he's no longer physically capable of playing at age 35. Duncan > Kobe.

Tim Duncan just isn't an outgoing, exuberant personality, and won't go upto someone he doesn't' know and make conversation.

Kobe actually says to guys like Smush "you're not allowed to talk to me" it's kind of different imo.

Quote the whole thing and look at the context of his statement.

Kobe is one of the greatest leaders of all time. Who else could toughen up 0-16 in the playoffs without Kobe Pau Gasol?

Duncan said he has to get to know you. Different.

Wasn't that simple

"He didn't talk to me for a whole year," Parker said after practice Monday, reflecting on his rookie season in 2001-02 when it wasn't just a French-English language barrier that wedged a gap between the two. "It was kind of weird coming from France and you have your superstar player that doesn't talk to you as a point guard, it's kind of tough, you know? Because you're supposed to talk to everybody.

"I think you had to earn his respect, I guess," Parker said

Duncan is the best teammate on the court, he embraces everyone he plays with. He might not talk to someone much early on, but in the end everyone loves him.

Kobe at first is probably a two-face sociopath, and in the end everyone of his teammates want out after not getting any credit for carrying Kobe the inefficient anti-clutch out of flow player to wins.

Big difference.
Was a pretty objective, respectable comment until you shat the bed with the bolded part.

I have no problem with either one of them, since I see them more as introverts. They're not really being assholes just that they rather not have forced conversations. That's just my opinion, since I'm not there.

From what Tim said they just had to get to know each other better.

Kobe steals everyone else's credit like how he stole Gasol's 2009 and 2010 FMVP. He then blames others for his own failure like how he blamed Gasol for the 2008 finals when it was Kobe stinking it up that caused it.

Duncan gives his teammates FMVP like he did in 2007 when he should have won it.

Kobe's been in more finals and has more rings and has a 4-2 series edge against Duncan, and even then one of those wins was against a Kobe that was not developed yet.

It's like people dont understand context. Duncan said he's not just going to talk to people when there's nothing to talk about.

Although both don't talk to new teammates, the difference is Kobe talks to the media to send his message. Remember the "This is still my team" quote when Dwight arrived?

AND THATS Y THE LAKERS WONT WIN ANOTHER RING UNTIL KOBE LEAVES..NOT WILLING TO LET GO OF THE TEAM AND PLAY SECOND FIDDLE TO SOMEBODY TALENTED BUT YOUNGER...STILL DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THE LAKERS WONT JUST TRADE KOBE FOR SOMEBODY...ANY TEAM WOULD TRADE FOR KOBE RIGHT NOW...ANY....AND I THINK THE LAKERS COULD STILL GET GREAT VALUE FOR KOBE RIGHT NOW TODAY EVEN THO HE ONLY PLAYED A FEW GAMES IN THE LAST YEAR...HELL ID TRADE KYRIE FOR HIM....TAKE DANTE EXUM IN THE DRAFT OR ZACH LAVINE.

C'mon, we can't really compare the two as teammates.

Even though Duncan didn't/doesn't speak that much, his teammates have always sung his praise. There are countless clips of Bowen, Horry, Parker, Barry, Rose, Manu etc. gushing about how incredibly team-oriented he is. And they always say he sets the tone.

Smush, Dwight, Shaq, Nash (alluded to it but says it bothered other guys more than himself), Phil, Walker...they've all had problems with Kobe.
