Did you make up some of those stats? I'm pretty sure that MJ didn't average 6.5 APG over his career in the Playoffs. Even the 34.4 PPG seems off. Also, he didn't average 36.3 PPG and 7.9 APG in the Finals. ~33/6 is what I remember. The 52.6% FG% seems high as well. His FG% was low (in the Finals) during the 2nd 3peat.

Do it through age 30. IIRC for Jordan, his career playoff averages through age 30 were something like 34.8 pts/6.7 reb/6.7 ast/2.3 stl/1.1 blk/51% FG.

EDIT: Looking at your numbers, it looks like you already did it through either age 29 or 30.

for someone who prides themselves on high fg% and protects it at all cost, 44.1% is abysmal

I think it's time to update LeBron's fials stats. Please include his stats in Game 1 and Game 2 of the 2014 Nba finals.

Kobe is shooting 40% from the field in 7 NBA Finals.

I here you bro, but no more mentioning Kobe in comparison to Lebron, it's disrespectful to the King.

If a Kobe fan tries to make a comparison, don't even acknowledge it...just let it go and die off.

It looks like he took MJ's averages through age 30. They are correct.

He may be comparing through the same age/year. Jordan's career averages came down as he got older; Lebron's stats will do the same, he just hasn't reached that point yet.

Well then it's not fair to Lebron, who's playoff stats and Finals stats before age 23 are included I believe.

If MJ was too old after age 30 to have those stats included, then Lebron was too young to have his stats count before age 23. Lebron was playing in the NBA Playoffs at a time when MJ was still in college.

well no one was talking about kobe... however kobe shoots shots for the interest of winning while lebron shoots shots for the interest of his fg% which accounts for the difference

That's why LeBron with more finals MVP than Kobe after his season.

Those numbers are heavily skewed by including 21 y/o Lebron's numbers.

A better window for comparison would be 89-93 Jordan vs 2009-14 Lebron when they are both at their peaks.

Still not in Bron's favor

Still not in Bron's favor

Never implied it was. Merely was saying that picking a stretch where both players were in a similar stage of their careers is a fairer comparison.
