Id take 09-now Lebron over prime Kobe but id take 96 Jordan over Lebron or Kobe. Though I dont feel like having a long argument explaining why.

What does impact even mean? Honestly, Lebron on those Cavs team was the biggest impact. Took them to 60+ win seasons. He wasnt better than Prime MJ or Kobe at those times though.

its arguable, mj is the best scorer of the 3 but lebron does more for his team on both sides of the floor than mj and kobe

Jordan and Kobe. Both shifted control the game at will single handedly, lebron is more of a flow of the game dunk player sans few exception games.

LeBron's impact is unmatched. Look what he did in Cleveland? Crazy.

More like...14 lakers without Kobe and Dwight.

Bulls lost their best player. Not their best 2.

I think Lebron has the most all around impact, but I would still take Jordan over both of them.

Honestly, I think Jordan and Lebron have a pretty similar impact.

I'd give Mike the edge in skills and intangibles though.

Win 0 rings and then promise a championship only to leave a few months later? I agree

1) LeBron
2) 1988-1993 MJ
3) 1996-1998 MJ
4) Kobe

Cleveland went from 61 wins and the best record in the league to 19 wins and the second worst record in the league without LeBron. Chicago, with MJ being replaced by a D-Leaguer, went from 3rd to 6th in the league in wins, declining from 57 wins to 55 wins. It is obvious which of the two had more impact. How about Cleveland without LeBron in the same year? I will start from 2006, the first year LeBron was an all-NBA first team player.

Cleveland without LeBron

2006: 3-0
2007: 3-1
2008: 0-7
2009: 0-1
2010: 1-5
Total: 7-14

How about Miami?

Miami without LeBron

2011: 1-2
2012: 1-3
2013: 5-1
2014: 2-3
Total: 9-9

Since 2008 LeBron's teams are 10-22 (26 wins over 82 games) without him.The results speak for themselves. LeBron has more impact on his team's results than the other two. We saw it again just last week. As soon as LeBron left, Miami collapsed.

'08-10 Kobe gets underrated. 2008-2010 We're looking at a three year stretch where he got 30/6/6/2 on 47 FG%, 51 eFG%, 57 TS% including some epic series. 2 rings, 3 straight finals. Not many have done it better...

His conference finals series:

29/6/4 53% vs. Spurs (who just a year before embarrassed LeBron and were top 3 defense)
34/6/6 on 48% vs. Nuggets (shut down Chris Paul that year and top 10 defense)
34/7/8 on 52% vs. Suns (who after the all-star break were top 5 defense)

Playoff Stats Year-by-Year

2008
30.1 ppg 5.7 rpg 5.6 apg 48fg% 30%3P 81%FT 58TS% 51eFG%

2009
30.2 ppg 5.3 rpg 5.5 apg 46fg% 35%3P 88%FT 56TS% 49eFG%

2010
29.2 ppg 6.0 rpg 5.5 apg 46fg% 37%3P 84%FT 57TS% 51eFG%

2x NBA Champion
2x NBA Finals MVP, NBA MVP, All Star Game MVP
3x All NBA First Team
3x All-Defensive First Team
1x Olympic Gold Medal

That efficiency is identical to first three-peat playoff Jordan. Crazy. Seriously, compare their FG% on twos, their eFG% and TS%, they are basically the same (though MJ was better player, scored more points etc etc).

His best series in this span....

34/5/6 on 50% vs. '08 Nuggets
29/6/4 on 53% vs. '08 Spurs (#3 ranked defense and a year before embarrassed Lebron)
34/6/6 on 48% vs. '09 Nuggets
33/7/7 on 49% vs. '08 Jazz
34/7/8 on 52% vs. '10 Suns
32/6/7 + great defense vs. '09 Magic

As far as 3 year runs, the only players I can think of off the top of my head with 3 year runs that I'd say were better were Jordan('91-'93), Shaq('00-'02), Bird ('84-'86) and Olajuwon('93-'95). Just imagine if in 2006 and 2007 when he was putting up historically great individual feats and should have won MVPs if he had a contending team built around him.
