That guy was being called a hero here in Australia. They even had a one hour special on tv with interviews from the bully, the victim and I think both parents of the two.

Video in OP looks like the girl had it coming. The chubby kid looked like he just had enough and tried something he saw on TV. But that move can be dangerous when you're lifting the girl up off her feet. If the kid loses his balance he could end up breaking her neck.
