View Full Version : Why Doesn't Media Talk About How Soft Durant Is

And it's not like he plays in some huge media market. The guy couldn't even handle the local newspaper calling him out. How are you going to be an MVP and not even be the best player on your own team? Dude isn't even the leader of the Thunder. The guy is almost on a Tim Duncan level of avoiding criticism, and at least TD won championships. This guy isn't the best player in the league. He is a foul shooting sideshow that doesn't play defense. He brings absolutely nothing to the table in terms of intangibles. And I trust Shaq more in the 4th quarter hitting a clutch foul shot then this fool.

He's in your head if you felt like stopping whatever you were doing on this fine day to post this shit out of nowhere on ISH

I apologize for my facts hurting you the way they did.

They're too busy blaming westbrook instead of highlighting that KD is a beta. If OKC lose next year they'll probably start giving him shit.

Great point. They can only milk the Westbrook thing for so long. Eventually people are going to notice this guy is an absolute fraud.

Didn't Durant average 30 ppg on over 50% against your boy? Remind me again, what were Lebron's numbers in his first finals?

Dude was virtually invisible on the other end of the court. Mario mother****ing (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKaG0HXrNKQ) Chalmers dropped 25 on him.

Durant did not have any impact aside from scoring.

What sort of impact did Lebron have in his first finals?

Did LeBron have an elite guard in Westbrook, an All-D First Team defender and DPOY candidate in Ibaka, 6th man of the year in Haren, and another defensive specialist in Thabo?

Honestly. I have no idea. Did not watch ball 2005-2008 because of personal reasons. I was just pointing out that even though durant scored 30 a game he had no impact.

 Bran had plenty of Thabos. That was the problem with the Cavs of 07 and the current Thunder. Not enough 2-way players. Sure OKC has Westbrook and Ibaka who do both, but Durant doesn't play defense, Thabo is a negative on offense, Perkins is a negative on offense. Everyone they bring off the bench either is either a 3 OR D player, they can't do both.

Meanwhile in Miami, Riley is getting great 3 AND D players. Shit, even Ray Allen was playing great D as a 55 year old on Paul George for certain stretches.

Durant needs to improve his defense. He can't conserve all his energy for offense, he's too young for that mentality. That's what old Kobe does. Young Kobe was a great defender that could cause havoc on that side.

Nothing showed me how much better bran is better than Durant than this year's playoffs.

What? Hughes, Snow, and Andy V are the only ones who made all defensive teams. Snow made the 2nd team in '03 and played 10 MPG. Hughes made 1st in '05 and played 2 games. 22 minutes a game. Andy V made a 2nd team in '10.

Then, you have Ibaka, Westbrook, and Harden, who >>> LeBron's supporting cast in '07.

Give '07 LeBron KD's '12 team and he definitely puts up better stats. He might not win, but he sure as heck is not getting swept.

Because he is the 1a/1b best player in the league right now

And I highly doubt any professional basketball player actually have the balls to call him soft as if they are better than him.

Yes, there's the Stevenson/Stephenson type players that will talk trash to Lebron because they feel like growing up with similar environment to that of Lebron, or even the extreme opposite of it entitles them to give Lebron an opinion.

But lets not act as if when they get off the court they don't admit it to the public that it is just tactics. And if they even use the public to talk trash, then they admit it to their friends.

Well, did Lebron have Westbrook(top5 Pg), Harden(best 6th man in the league) and Ibaka(best shotblocker in the League) as teammates in his first Finals so the opposing defense couldn't focus completely and only on him? Yea I thought so...
