(Link in spanish)

There is rumors in the spanish media saying that "the latvian Pau Gasol" can be selected at the 12th pick and Magic will pay the value of the buyout that they can plus the help of the player so he can come next year to the NBA.

Porzingis has a 1M buyout with his spanish club but the suddenly rise of the young power forward in Liga Endesa could make him a target earlier in the draft instead of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Utah Jazz picks.

He's not Vesely and he's not Kirilenko like everyone is saying.
His NBA comparasion would be a more athletic Pau Gasol, but he still needs to develop a lot on the offensive end.

He's a great defensive player right now, tho he needs to put some muscle which can be kind of difficult because there's reports that he has cronic anemia or at least he had.

He developed a lot in the last three years since he went to Spain, he's one of the best european players of this age and led a Latvian youth team to a great campaign last year especially on the defensive side.

If he stayed one more year or two he could be a top5 in 2015 or the top pick in 2016.

as long as he is a good defender he's good to pair with vuc.

Ohh he def is, it's his biggest strenght right now.
Really long arms that can block shots and he moves pretty well for a 7'1 guy.
His body is really similar with Pau at the same age, tho Pau was much more developed and could play SF.

I think i didn't follow the draft that he was selected, but in Europe everyone thought that he wouldn't go to NBA because of his girlfriend :lol
He posterized a player this week, i saw a video.

How would Porzingis even fit on the Magic? Would he start right now? That team is already trying to develop a million guys. He seems to play much better when he has the green light.

He would definitely be starting. He would really help this team because he'd be a rim protector that can spread the floor

It's even worse when he keeps posting "every european on ish has said xxxxx" or when he directly says maga has also said xxxxx and then maga comes in and says no he hasn't but euroleague just keeps on going with it even though the person he is quoting is denying it.

Btw, Hezonja is going to disapoint the **** of everybody because of the place he was drafted. Terrible situation getting drafted and play 10min per game because you have your franchise player (who should be a role player) in Oladipo playing most of his minutes.

No, i think he went to a bad place in terms of playing time.
Orlando is a great team to develop right now, we can all see Payton's development but i think playing behind Oladipo doesn't help me him at all.
For example, he in Denver would be awesome... they have a real gap in that position. It's not like the potential and talent isn't there because it is... it just won't be fullfiled.

Btw, i hate Aaron Gordon... i don't see anything special in him.
And i hate even more Oladipo, i think he's not going to get any better than what he is right now.

I love Vukcevic, Fourneir and Payton tho.

Tell me in your opinion what he does really well? I don't see it.
I remember following him in the last two years of highschool and for me he was just a "mixtape guy", he improved true to be told but i still think he doesn't have a "amazing skill" that will translate in a good career.
He's very athletic, high motor but can't really shot, can't really dribble and he's a mismatche if he plays at the 4 because he can't body the other 4's.
A tweener that can't shoot.
(I know they play nothing alike) but i see him as a Derrick Williams future.

He's a very good defender. Individually and with help defense. He can guard anyone from 1-4 and last game he was guarding Demarcus Cousins. He guarded Harden well, KD, etc. You aren't really going to see him do much right now because this team is brutally under developing him for lesser players so they can sell winning games to the fans. I really just want to make a mixtape to show how skilled he is defensively, he has his younger mistakes but he's really good. He has the capability to do a lot of things this team just stifles the hell out of him. There's a major disconnect between the coach and the GM right now imo.
Doesn't mean much but here's his SL highlights

76er fans hotly debated pre-draft who we should take at #3. It was between Rusell and Porz since we thought LA would take Okafor.

The consensus was Russell, and I am so glad the Lakers took him. It's not the stats, because you can almost ignore the stats when it comes to rookies. What he has shown so far is not impressive. He has not shown flashes of greatness tbh.

We are happy with Okafor who had 16 points, 11 boards, and 3 blocks the other night vs. Miami. He is improving on the boards and defensively. Of course, he is already being doubled in the post, and he is facing up and driving by defenders on isos. Jah could easily be a beast and superstar in 2 years when he gets stronger.

Now, as for Porz, good call by Maga. I saw him the other night vs. Hou, and man, he is impressive. He is legit, and believe me, I'm not exactly happy to say that because there are some fans from Philly who regret Oak, and think Porz fits in better with Noel.

Of course, time will tell. In the end though, it is becoming likely that this draft will be remembered as having produced 3 game changers in Towns, Oak, and Porz. .

I give you that, IMO is the only skill that really translated well.
But think about it, how many 3's or 4's are just defensive especialists that can't shoot a lot? I know some 3's but, that's it.
I can't see any real comparasion right now for him.

This draft is clearly being underrated in my opinion.
KAT, Okafor, Porzingis, Mudiay have been playing terrific basketball.
Winslow, Johnson, Turner, Grant, Hollis Jefferson have been servicible for now.

Is he? I don't really know what i can make of him.
Shaw Marion was tremendous offensively during his prime. I can see the resemblance but Gordon looks too stagnant off the ball while Marion knew what he had to do..

Oh well, he's young he will probably figure it out.
Still i think he was drafted too high.

Shawn Marion was 21 when he was drafted. Gordon was 19. Now just turned 20. It'll take some time. Who do you think should have gone over Gordon? I mean, you could say Smart but he wasn't even better than Payton last year. Randle? I wouldn't want a non lengthy 4 that doesn't play defense. Exum? Ha.

Agreed, Gordon was a good pick. He's only getting around 20 minutes of play right now, but he's averaging like 15/9 per 36, which is more than respectable for a 20 year old. The only player drafted later than Gordon that has the potential to be a better is Nurkic, but you guys already have Vucevic playing C.

Hows Hezonja been so far this year?
