Ron Artest
Bruce Bowen

Shane Battier
Raja Bell
Tony Allen
Andrei Kirilenko
Tayshaun Prince

Thabo Sefolosha

Pretty good list ^^, I'd go with Lebron over Kobe simply due to the fact Lebron is a more versatile defender. I might insert Luol Deng somewhere in there.

That is a good list, with Thabo, Deng, Hinrich, Wade, Paul, Gerald Wallace, Ronnie Brewer, Rondo, Kidd being some of the honorable mention players.

I keep editing to add players...

i wont say kobe was the best.

but hard to argue with kobes all time leading 9 first team all defensive awards

you might be able to say 1 or 2 were off rep.. ( but then i could say where's lebrons 1st team all defense in 2014? )

kobes top 3-5

:oldlol: Yeah he is and I'm a huge Beverley fan. Avery Bradley is a very skilled defender and hustles, Beverley is more hustle than skill, + a bit of attitude.

doug christie should be an honorable mention, if not included on some of these lists. though, maybe that was more like a decade and 1 year ago.

ANY list without Kang James is wrong.

Larry Hughes deserves an HM.

He was a pretty darn good defender before he fell off.

2004–05 NBA All-Defensive 1st Team.

He also led the league in steals that year with 2.9 per game which is pretty impressive IMO.
