View Full Version : Kobe moves up the all time list as Spurs keep winning games....

I have to re-evaluate my ranking of Kobe. The Spurs keep playing like a machine in these Finals and they don't have to necessarily win the title for me to move Kobe up. Just winning games like this will make cause me to move him up because in Kobe's career, he has destroyed the Spurs with the same core and in their prime.

For a team led by old Duncan, Parker and Manu and for Kobe to beat these core in their primes says a lot.

This Spurs team has to be one of the greatest dynasties in the NBA and Mamba was killing them when they were at their best.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the art of trolling at it's elite level finest. You come with something that seems trollish, that will upset people with an agenda, and it's done at the perfect time. They're all emotional right now.

What makes this so perfect and  worthy is that you actually speak the ****ing truth. Kobe Bryant has ALWAYS been a Spurs killer. ALWAYS. He used to regularly drop EPIC games in San Antonio. What most people don't remember is that Frobe actually played better on the road.

When Phil jackson went back to the Lakers they asked Popovich about Kobe and Phil getting back together and he said "It's like the Soviet Union getting back together." That's the ultimate sign of respect from Pop

Kevin Durant is notorious for shitting on the Spurs.

This series ends the debate on whos better between Bron and KD. KD does it against the best... Bron does it against the Bobcats in the regular season

Kobe bet a prime and healthy Spurs team twice. Parker didn't play in 01, neither did Manu in 01 or 02...and those two Spurs teams were mediocre as any "contender" I've ever seen, especially after the big injuries those teams had.

And Kobe didn't destroy the Spurs in '04 either. So he's badly beaten a prime/healthy Spurs team once, and even then Manu was hobbled.

'Grats, Bean.

Cmon Kobes always been a spurs killer.. to use injuries is a cop out since the spurs have had injuries every year to main players post 07(which is the only time he saw them other than the times you mentioned).

I know he has...he's always played great against us (well, not really in 99 or in my opinion 03, but every other time has), but I'm just putting it into context. Kobe never faced a Spurs team like this in the Playoffs. :confusedshrug:

The OP is trolling though.

And this is a team Kobe and now Durant have had to go through just to get to the Finals.

No coincidence Bran plays like shit vs his first real challenge in the playoffs this year. Though I fully expect the refs to help him out when needed down the line this series.

Anyways, I have to agree with OP here as he's spot on with his points.

that game KD dropped like 32 points, 14 rebounds (on 48% shooting) and clocked in 50+ minutes. He also played great defense. Glad that is an example of one of his "worst" games vs the spurs though :oldlol:

I don't know if Lebron goes 2/4 with the Heat and teams up with the Lakers and win as the FMVP would nessecarily mean he will be ranked below Kobe.

Since I'm certain that by you saying Lebron is currently ahead of Kobe, then you are saying Lebron would at least 3peat again with his next team(or the heat) and win a few FMVP.

Kobe actually moves up on the all time list if Lebron joins him. Because for Lebron to surpass Kobe, he's going to have to win like 4-5 FMVP or win a few rings without Kobe.

Saying 2014 Spurs is the same as early 2000s Spurs is like saying Shaq's Lakers and Gasol's Lakers are the same team.

The last time Kobe faced an offensive juggernaut similar to the Spurs. He got swept 4-0 by Dallas.

Kobe is top 10 but Duncan can get that 5th spot ALL TIME with his resume... These are career rankings I am writing about.. I don't think Duncan has ever been as good as Hakeem though... But he has the resume to get that 5th spot... LETS GO DUNCAN...

These Spurs sank the Kobe/Shaq titanic. Had the Lakers won in '03, who knows? That Lakers team may have stayed intact and we'd all be worse off by having to endure more of one of the whackest "dynasties" ever.

Thank you, San Antoinio Spurs. :applause:

To make it short so people could understand it much better..

Young Kobe age 21+ was routinely destroying/toying Prime Duncan Spurs at their absolute best in the PO while current Ancient Duncan ice age Spurs the weakest of all Spurs championship is shitting on one of the most stacked team of all time.. Therefore if the Spurs win the championship, it will just add to Kobe legacy of how great he is/was.. Its pretty amazing even tho Kobe is not playing his ranking is still moving up pretty fast.. If this Duncan Spurs can keep this consistency for upcoming years before Kobe retire, this will make Kobe the GOAT.. How Great is Our Gawd!
