Is that, for the exception of Game 7 vs Suns in which Kobe sabotaged his team on purpose by refusing to shoot........ aside from that, Kobe NEVER goes down without swinging.
Kobe will lose the game, but he'll go 7-29 shooting or something. At least he'll put up shots and TRY to win the game on his back. Even if it means terrible performance and shooting, Kobe will try.
LeBron on the other hand....... I read somewhere that dude took 4 total shots in the second half. The Heat are down double digits, and LBJ the "best player" isn't even trying to use his "talents" that he took to South Beach and win the game. It's so damn annoying. Where is LeBron vs Boston Game 6? Why does LeBron go into 2011 Mavs mode so much?
Four total shots in a half when your team is down double digits. I mean, seriously.
GO DOWN SWINGING! Why is LBJ so afraid to attempt to take the game over and start chucking. He may succeed and drop 60 and win the game, or he may fail and go 11-29 FG's, but at least TRY!
I remember watching Wade during the 2009-2010 playoffs, and we got stomped by Boston. But Wade went out SWINGING, and even won us a game by just gunning everything he had. Sucks to see LBJ just avoid the pressure.

hense the reason fieldgoal percentages arent everything and protecting it might be efficient.. but at the same time by not wanting to take blame you're taking away chances at success
you miss 100% of the shots you dont take
kobe failed on the biggest stage before.. but playing his game made him a success way more often than not
big failures = bigger success... it takes money to make money. gotta spend
kobe spends
lebron doesnt

I know "check my stats" is often joked about on here. but at times, you do have to question lebrons mentality when it comes to that phrase. it seems as if his "stats" really mean that much to him. that, or he easily gets shook, which takes him out of games. you decide

You are, literally, whats wrong with the NBA. When LeBron drives and there are two guys waiting for him he HAS to be able to distribute to shooters. And thats what he did. It was the most Assts he has had this postseason and he easily could have had 5 more on open shots he fed his teammates.
Saying he should just shoot anyways is idiotic.
Saying he should emulate Wade, who is now -89 in the 10 Finals games the last two years and isn't even pretending to defend anyone at this point shows just how awful your basketball IQ is.

LBJ is the modern-day Wilt Chamberlain, more so than Shaq ever was. They both have the same physical edge over the rest of the league (strength, speed, athleticism, stamina, skills).
In 1968 Eastern Finals, Wilt scored only 14 points, and took only 1 shot in the second half. That he pulled down 34 rebounds is immaterial: the Sixers had gone ice cold from the field at the worst time. Wilt just didn't compensate.
LBJ seems wired the same way. :facepalm

Yeah, it's amazing how whenever the Lakers are already behind, an injury always somehow bubbles to the surface for Kobe.
Also, OP, lets not forget he quit on his team in the offseason when he demanded a trade.
So he quit in a game 7.
He quit for an entire series after game 1.
He demanded a trade.

and lets also not forget that mitch and company basically said, "fck you, kobe" and made him stay on the team, without making any changes to the line up. what happened after? kobe put on his big boy pants, and led the lakers to one of the best records in the league by january, and bynum was actually playing like a true center at that time. but against memphis, he ****ed up his knee and would miss the rest of the regular season. only after, would pau get traded to LA

Your posts are entering cringe-worthy territory now. Fisher, bless his heart, is hardly what you'd call a notable roster move. He's a role-player.
LeBron is stat-padder and quitter. At what point did he score his first basket in his famous quit game against the Celtics? 3rd quarter? Kobe had 20 points by halftime in the loss to the Suns.

It's ok to make the right "basketball play" a majority of the time, but eventually the situation calls for him to be more selfish and go get buckets. You say it was the most assists he had this post season but I say look at the TO's that went with it.
The Heat need Lebron to do so much. We all know this. But last night for example, the Heat needed him to score. 6 points and 5 TO's in the second half is unacceptable. And he was 9-14 from the field.... SHOOT MORE LEBRON!

Thats like saying "its Ok to stay on soft 20 a majority of the time but eventually the situation calls to hit".
Its simple math. You can force up shots when you are double and triple teamed but the better play is ALWAYS to get the ball to the open player.
I'm amazed that so many people here lack basic ball understanding. It is EASY to deny players in the NBA now. Sure, they can still force shots up and get their points but then YOU WIN the game.
And Mia is MUCH BETTER when he is in distributor mode than we he is in scoring mode. He needed to score more? BS. They had a TS% of .596 last night. They were outstanding offensively. Thats a higher TS% than Kobe has ever had in any season or any postseason. They scored the ball fine. The problem was the TOs and the sieve-like defense.

The Heat cut a 25 deficit down to 7--why would LeBron mess with what was working by chucking?
Kobe will lose the game, but he'll go 7-29 shooting or something.
This mentality is what leads to stupidity from players like Westbrook, i.e. him taking a 26 foot contested three with 20 seconds left at the end of a playoff game. According to this thinking, Westbrook's poor shot was smarter than LeBron passing to a open Bosh in similar situations in the playoffs. Basketball is a team game with 12 men on the roster and 8-9 in the rotation. The NBA is not NBA Jam.

His boxscore was terrible. 22/5/7/5 with 7 TOV's in a loss? That's a terrible stat line. He was terrific in the first Q and scored 14 points with only 1 TOV. 8 points and 6 TOV's in the other 3 Q's.

out of context, that is far from a terrible stat line, sans the turnovers(which still doesnt make it a "terrible" stat line) but like you said, once you take it into context, its apparent that it was a pretty bad game, especially in the 2nd half.

Luckily, TOV's show up in the box score, which makes it a terrible stat line. Especially for LeBron, who averages 28/8/7/2/1 over his career in the Playoffs. If it was a stat line for Wade, it would've been a good one as he's pretty much out of his prime.

Turnovers arent really discussed all that much though.. FG and efficiency seem to always be the things talked about when evaluating players holistically. And he put up shaq efficiency on decent volume.. he played like shit but that statline will end up not reflecting his performance when it gets lumped in with his series average because everything that is mostly dicussed, points, assists, rebounds, FG, were all solid to great.

He had one bad game out of 3. If he sucks in the remaining games, his averages are gonna come down. Still a shitty stat line, when compared to his career playoff average. Also, won't change the fact that he was pretty good in the other two (before the cramps in G1).
Also, why are you acting like he was playing for stats? If he actually was playing for stats, why would he settle for only 22 points? 6 below his CAREER playoff average?

Because he didnt want to mess his efficiency up?
Hes been like this ever since he came to Miami.. In Cleveland, he just went HAM all the time and didnt care much for percentages but ever since he joined wade and bosh hes been extremely focused on keeping those numbers as high as they can go and it has been a detriment to his team in a lot of key moments.
Its all led to him going passive for long stretches in 3 out of 4 finals w/ the Heat. You can get away with statpadding in the regular season or against the bobcats but when your team needs buckets desperately against a real good opponent and you dont have the balls to take tough shots... thats where you lose

Why would he take those dumbass shots at the end, if he was trying to "protect" his FG%? One almost half court shot at the end of the half. Another two stupid shots in the 4th. :facepalm
LeBron going 6-24 isn't going to help the Heat. He needs to take more shots, but make sure that they are high % shots.

Even while having a bad shooting night, and it wasn't that much of a bad shooting night for him, it was for all teams, lakers were shooting 33 percent overall, and Celtics at something lie 39 if I recall correctly
FTs and rebounds won them the game, and Kobe was best/great at both of them, he didn't give up in the face of adversity as opposed to what LeBron has done so many times in his career. 08, 10, 11, most of 13 finals, this game. Just too much giving up on his part.
