Which fanbase has it the toughest?

An inquiry for my fellow "die-hards" at ISH:

Of all of the team fanbases, which has had the toughest times? I would like to make a case for my team, the Lakers of Los Angeles.

As we all know, it is a huge hit to one's legacy to lose in the Finals. Why, LeBron James himself has lost two times already, and it may even be thrice this year. This pretty much guarantees that he will not make the Hall of Fame.

But just when you think that is bad, ponder this: the Lakers have LOST in the Finals 15 times! Second worse is the Knicks, at with 6 loses.. not even close! Think of the suffering we Laker fans have had to endure due to this legacy of choking! Why, when I discuss it with my mates, the first thing they bring up is the "15".

Now, admittedly, most of these losses were before my time, but, it it still ingrained in the Laker culture. I also think that, in the interest of parity, the league owes it to us Laker fans to make up for the tragedy of the past, a sort of affirmative-action program as it were. Remember this when the "haters" say that the refs are helping the Lakers out. They owe us at LEAST that much.

Sometimes I wish I could have been a Clippers or Timberwolves fan, and never have had to live with this curse of losing. But Laker fans are born, not made, which is why we have no bandwagon whatsoever.

Can you make a case for your team?

ok but since we are having a reasonable non-troll discussion here, the Lakers have won 14 or so championships, and 2 of them were legitimate, in the 80s. That means your total suffering is 14 minus 15, which equals -1 in suffering. Suffering is greater when it's a negative number.

The suns have suffered twice as much, -2. And there were some years where it was clear the WCF was actually the nba finals, so that's another 3 or so nba finals losses for the heralded phx suns franchise, which has suffered so badly. We deserve 3 top picks in the draft in the next 4 years.

I assure you, this is my one and only account. Registration is so difficult here that I wouldn't even know how to get a 2nd account. I am just a diehard Kobe fan sharing his knowledge with people of ISH. The wonderful thing about this forum is that people look "beyond the boxscore" and provide insight that would have never occurred to me. For instance, until someone brought up the embarrassment that is LeBron's Finals record, I didn't even realize how damaging it was to lose in the Finals. The moment I came to that conclusion, I was hit with a wave of pain, as if all of the suffering of my ancestors exploded into my soul.
