That's exactly it.

No one really gives a shit about their sexual orientation; in fact it's generally the homos who expect everyone to give a shit about them.

I think alot of gay guys like standing out and like 'being oppressed.'

I think many gay guys (not all, some of them act completely normal) were bullied or ignored growing up alot, then when they came out they finally started getting attention from everyone, either negative attention from the bully kids or positive attention from girls and pro-equality people.


Then they start really playing up the camp thing because it makes them stand out, and all they talk about is being gay, or some music act or activity that gay people are supposed to like, and they put on the 'gay' accent.


Do you guys know the accent I mean? The stereotype accent that gay people on network TV have? Because I knew a bunch of kids growing up, in elementary school they spoke in normal california accent, freshmen year of high school, normal accent then all of a sudden they realize they're gay and their voice and accent all of a sudden changes?

Because that's not a natural gay thing, that's just them purposefully making themselves speak like that, because they think that's how gay people are supposed to sound.

I'm nice to everyone but these kinds of gay guys I generally feel sorry for, because it seems like their whole time hanging out with people they are just putting on a flamboyant act because they assume they have to act like that now that they realized they are gay. I guess they do it to fit in or something but I find it strange.

Mad respect to gay guys who just be themselves, rather then force themselves to become the camp gay stereotype in order to fit in, and start talking in that stereotype gay accent.
