No. In the 60's the Celtics had like 12 of the top 20 players in the league.

so wade and bosh are top 10 players now? Seriously? Guess anyone who plays with lebron is a top player. hey, why not say chalmers and cole are top 30? Why not say Lewis is top 5 PF? Or spo is a top 5 coach? :oldlol: this is ridiculous.

Bran sat Bosh down and told him before joining Miami that all of his rebounds will be going to the King. That's why Bosh doesn't appear to be top 10, from statistical standpoint. Wade had to change his whole style to let LeBren get his stats and also win rings. Spo managed to win rings with a guy who was outplayed by Jason the Jet as his best player. Lewis has been the best Heatle in the Finals.

You could argue Wade and Bosh being outside the top 20 now. Id say Wade is top 20....most of the time. And Bosh is potentially top 20....but not playing top 20.

Neither Bosh or Wade were even all NBa third team. Which doesnt mean all 15 who were are better....but at a glance id say no less than 13 of them had better seasons than either Wade or Bosh. Which doesnt even consider Melo, Westbrook, John Wall, Duncan, dirk, Anthony Davis, whoever you wish to credit for the Raptos success, Kyrie, and young guys who did numbers like Demarcus Cousins. Boshs numbers on a shitty Raptors team make him a star to many....23/12 in only 32 minutes dont make Cousins one?

There are 24-25 guys you could EASILY say had better years than Wade and Bosh.

Its not like the Heat even won that much. 54 wins in the East? For the Heat?

There are years 6th seeds have 54 wins. Not many...but its happened. They made the finals as expected but this was down year for them.

And Wade will be a year older by the time in question.....

Bosh is still near his prime but its not like he was really some top player in Toronto. He didnt break some all nba trend this year. He wasnt even all NBA third team his last season in Toronto. The year before that either.....or the one before that.

Bosh has not been so much as all NBA third team in 7 years.

These arent for sure top level guys. Its one elite player, one who was elite until 2 years ago and shows flashes now and then, and a jump shooting bigman who could potentially be scoring 21 a game and missing the playoffs on the Bucks.

I didnt even remember everyone.

Kobe, Rondo, and Rose have even seasons a notch below their last healthy ones next year....you can argue 26-28 players outplaying curent Wade and Bosh.

I wouldnt say all of them are.

But all would have a case.

I dont know if 25 players are better. 20 guys or more had better seasons.

And the Wade when healthy thing is a bit of a pipe dream these days. Reminds me of a Yao is elite argument I had years ago:

One year is just the nature of sports. Two years is a tough break but....its still just the game. 3? Really really unlucky but it has to raise an eyebrow.4? Gotta start asking questions about if its luck or physical. Just has to be factored in. Once you get to the point where all questions about hoow good you are start with "When healthy"....you arent healthy and your injured state is the one to be evaluated. Counting playoffs Yao has missed more than 100 games. Hes missed like 10 of their last 20 playoff games.

**** is epic at this point. Saying what Yao is when healthy is almost like saying how good Curry is when in shape. Curry has not been in shape in years and Yao has not been consistienly healthy since 2005. Yao is past the "When healthy" point. Might as well say "Yao when someone else". I hope he gets it together. Really. Hate to see a guy go down over and over. But till they figure something out....

Gotta live in reality. Not a world where people are something they arent and injuries dont factor into your ability to play basketball.

And then he missed the entire next season and all but 5 games of the year after that.

Wade clearly isnt Yao....but you can only say "When healthy" for so long before its just a joke.

Wade is in year 3 of "When healthy" talk. People rarely come out of that after that long. Not at his age....

He was to the people I got my basketball opinions from in the 80s. But that was family not the internet and of course....we didnt put numbers on it. But I knew real old school lovers of the game who loved Dennis Johnson. He was slowing down by the time I was a serious fan.

I missed his all nba first team work.
