They did not win the first group stage game in 2010 and 2012 either, and neither mattered. They will get the 2nd spot in this group and eliminate the overrated Brazil in round of 16, en route to their 2nd title in worldcup. I already bet $1000 on Spain winning it all, and I trust my choice.

I've been kinda rooting for Spain just because of the sheer absurdity of a team winning 4 straight major tournaments over the span of 7 years. Like how will the sports world react to something like that?

Spain's playmaking midfieldiers have been grinding(not with the same extreme level of passion as in the past but still grinding hard) they can work a little less hard but focus more and try to play 3 or 4 pinpoint perfect balls per half rather than several good balls, Pedro can poach Costa can flat out finish and Torres can float around and has a knack for getting decisive touches in.

Casillas and the entire right side of defense/defensive mid also need to up their sharpness and entire defense needs to up their plain toughness as well.

Spain lost to Switzerland in 2010, and barely tied against Italy in 2012, they were never 100% in the first game. Love the overreaction from some people who just started watching soccer this year.

Spain probably going to be out in group stages, and Heat will go on to win in 7.

Brazil wont win the World Cup. So nothing is decided. You conspiracy theorists should shut the **** up already.

This. I can't believe people jump to the "fixed" excuse right away. Brazil should be the favorites and possibly might win it all, but it's not set in stone for them.
