Who do you think was better? For one season only, who would you rather have on your team to build around?

Mourning I guess.. Defensively wise, its pretty much even or you could even give the edge to Mourning. Offensively wise, the output is pretty much the same although Dwight was more efficient. But Mourning was able to make his free throws and could make jump shots so he was more versatile offensively and not a liability during crunch time

Mourning is a man, while Dwight is a child. He's the better center not because of stats, but because he's not a joke.

Mourning was one of those players who did everything he could to make his team win.

Peak zo would absolutely dominate in this era.

Dwight Howard.

But Mourning is more versatile not so much just in the skills aspect, but his ability to play different roles as a big man.

Dwight Howard appears to have only been taught of one big man mode.

Gimme peak Zo over Howard! Zo was just as good on defense, better on offense, and just a more cerebral skilled player. Dwight is more of freakish athlete and better rebounder. But peak Zo was a beast who could be awesome away from the rack from midrange and being crafty to beat bigger centers off the dribble if need be. I think both peak value wise are among the top 15 centers of all time, but I would take Zo! Howard just hasn't gotten much better over the years. Zo had the size and skillset in many ways of the prototype PF that Karl Malone brought into the L. U know big, strong as an ox, athletic, run the floor well, great midrange game, underrated craftiness. Dwight is bascially an undersized freak athletic center who can't do damage facing up from the basket. In the two way domination sense, Zo was the best center of his era! Even over Shaq, even though Shaq was clearly the superior player. Zo was next in line and followed Hakeem, Robinson, and Ewing in that sense!

Dwight has a low basketball IQ. That's why he gets owned in the playoffs - year in, year out. Straight up owned.

Mourning is a champion.

One more vote for Zo

Dwight would win this if he had any balls whatsoever.

But he doesn't, so I think Zo would get the better of him.

Dwight Howard thought SVG was ruining his career.

And he's realizing that SVG knows a lot more about what he is capable of instead of the rule the Magic wanted him to play.

Only, he's using the one trick he learned from SVG and trying to apply it everywhere he goes.

Oh the irony.

Mourning is a champion.he averaged 26/14 this playoffs and had a case for best player in the 1st round. His defense was absolutely stellar as well despite lma's first 2 games and even then had elite interior d. Not his fault Haren is a few hinges away from literally being a revolving door defensively and the ultimate playoff choker who their idiot coach force feeds the ball. Mj himself wouldn't be able to carry that trainwreck out of the 1st round.

Zo used to be my favorite player, but I'd give it to DHo. I got to see both at their peaks and even though Zo was more skilled, DHo was just better.

Zo. He can do everything better than Dwight except rebounding and that's only a slight edge. Dwight has the athleticism but Zo is stronger and knows the fundamentals of boxing out. Dwight's has almost no post game at all.

Wasn't the league's best center Noah this past year? What's a good comparison for him? Maybe Bill Cartwright?

2010-11... The times which Dwight had actually some pretty good moves on his book.

I believe Dwight is the better one. But I would choose Zo over Howard coz of the obvious reason.
