Yeah. He even said he'll only play for the LA Lakers

"I'm not going anywhere. I couldn't possibly. I've been very fortunate to be with one organization, and I just feel like you should try to do the best that you can to win with the organization you're with. And if it happens, great. And it if doesn't, it doesn't."

First, Bryant said on 1050 ESPN Radio in New York: "I would like to be traded, yeah. Tough as it is to come to that conclusion there's no other alternative, you know?"

Bryant, interviewed by Stephen A. Smith, was asked if there was anything the Lakers could do to change his mind.

"No," Bryant said. "I just want them to do the right thing."

"[The Lakers] obviously want to move in a different direction in terms of rebuilding," Bryant said, adding he could have opted to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers or Chicago Bulls instead. "Three years ago when I was re-signing they should have told me they wanted to rebuild."

Asked if he had any preference for a trade destination, he said "At this point I'll go play on Pluto."

Kobe demanding a trade was a straight bluff, kiddo. He just wanted to light a fire under management's ass.

That was 2007 though. :lol

I don't think he feels the same now especially since the fans and team have been on his side since day 1. Plus, he's getting a ton of CA$H down there.

Many publicly successful people simply do and say what is in their best interest at any given moment. Whether this is the best way to live is another question

Scare tactic. Just like Paul Pierce did in the summer of 2007.

No, he honestly did not mind being traded. He probably had even thought of plans of playing as a Clippers or a Bulls or what it would be like playing with those players.

it'd be a lie to say Dr. Buss didn't had some serious thoughts himself, then even sat down with his staff to do some damage control FOR Kobe in order to get everyone on board.

because I wouldn't be surprised that the team was ready to trade him even though they know it might be the wrong move. But without knowing how Kobe's presence in the lockerroom will play out from here on out.

They would have pulled the trigger.

Talent makes the rule, but lets not mistaken and ignore that Charisma, is a category of talent itself.

because people fail to differentiate the reasons as to why these people were successful from the first place and gained public exposure.

he will of course.

nothing else to prove and playing for 1 franchise his whole career just adds to his greatness.

only cheap superstars ring chase during their careers

Why was Kobe so scared of going to Charlotte when he got drafted there.

Kobe would be retarded to try and ring chase at this point.

I think he'll retire as a Laker. There is no way Kobe will go ring chasing he's not of the same mentality as these cop out players we have playing the game.

I doubt he'll win another championship before he retires but I'd like to see him back in the playoffs before he leaves the NBA behind.

If he doesn't really have a good recovery from his injury like if he comes back averaging like 15 ppg, then I think he'll play these next 2 years and then just retire as a Laker.

If he does have a decent recovery, and comes back averaging like 23-25 ppg on 42-45%, which I think is about his ceiling, then I could see him becoming the next Brett Favre. I could see him overvaluing himself 2 years from now, and the Lakers offering something like $7 million per year for 2 years. Kobe doesn't like it, and instead of going somewhere else, he tries to go away respectably by offering to just retire and with the same team. However, after that I could see him thinking he made a huge mistake and wanting to come back. The Lakers wouldn't want any part of him anymore and want to move on, so then Kobe just goes elsewhere.
