As it stands they're obviously a wonderful team. But would you make any tweaks or suggest anyone they could add?

If Lebron opts out, throw the mid-level exception at him.

They will improve by literally staying the same - resigning Diaw and Mills.
Duncan and Ginobili may decline a little bit, but Parker will be back stronger after resting all summer and Mills, Green, Leonard, Splitter, etc. will improve.

Pau Gasol.
C: Splitter/Gasol
PF: Duncan/Diaw
SF: Leonard/Belinelli
SG: Green/Ginobili
PG: Parker/Mills/Joseph

Mills will get a starting role on another team next year and he will take it
Diaw will most likely resign
Imagine if they got Duncan and Parker to take a pay cut so they could try to lure Melo to the Spurs
Parker - Ginobili - Melo - Kawhi - Duncan

Timmy can opt out of his 10mil deal next year. If he does and takes a 2-3mil deal they'd have around 15mil to spend.
If not Lebron, they could go out and pick up Gasol/Gortat/Granger or maybe even Monroe. Dirk would be another crazy option.
no pun intended

Pau Gasol is the missing link.

Yes, they will make some moves, but it likely won't include signing Melo or whoever. Kawhi was the only rue sf on the roster, and the Spurs have a number of wing players draft-rights. Summer League will be interesting.

Monroe would never take less money to sign with the Spurs.
We are talking about a player who has David Falk as an agent getting ready to sign his first FA contract ever. Not to mention Detroit would be overjoyed if Monroe decided to sign an offer sheet with the Spurs for 10M, they would match it and have a cheap big man
If Lebron signed with the Spurs, ISH would need to shut down for a few days to prevent user suicides
Skip Bayless may have a heart attack

Spurs could probably put down a 12mil offer and Falk would be stupid not to push for that to go down. Monroe would be a great replacement for Duncan in a year or 2.

They need a Pau Gasol/K. Love/Al Jefferson big man to anchor the scoring load in certain spots as Duncan gradually transitions into retirement. As much as people say Kawhi Leonard is the rising face of the franchise I don't think he will be a reliable 1st option scoring-wise.

They're going to trade Mills for another pick and some team will take it. Repeat of George for Kawhi all over again.

Unfortunately they are going to start looking to replacing their big 3. Unless they are looking to continue the run and Duncan doesnt retire.
