Nothing the Heat were doing made any difference at that point. He was probably worn completely down.

Did Lebron have a statistically sound season, playoffs, and Finals while carrying D-Trash and Bosh on his back? Yes

Does Lebron have a vegina and shrink under big pressure? Yes

Should Lebron ever be compared to Jordan? Never

Kobe would have gone down shooting

Kobe would not accept a loss until the clock was 0:00. He'd believe he was going to win until the last moment. Lebron talks the talk but you're either wired like Kobe (almost no one is) or not.

As hopeless as it seemed, it was early to go out of the game for the best player in the NBA. He should have gone down swinging, it looked pathetic.

LeDone....why look like "The Greatest Player in the League" when your team got whipped by 15+ points in each of the last three games -- two of which was played on your teams HOME COURT.

LeDone.....with seven minutes remaining in regulation on a final elimination game. :facepalm

He left cause they were down 20 and game was over. HE could of padded Stats and maybe finished with 35-38 points and finished series over 30ppg

Since we are on page 2 and no one has answered the man yet...

LeBron had played the entire game (42 min) to that point. He was everything on offense and was guarding TP for a huge chunk of the game (who started 0-10). He HAD to get a minute breather. I would guess the goal was to get a few points back and get him in at the under 4 TO. Of course, once he went out it was all over.

Can we still say he is coasting or is it a bit late for that?

he was probably tired and lets be honest after the 1st quarter he wasn't having a big impact... 5-16 shooting, 4 rebounds, 3 assists in 29 minutes of play

This.

I don't think you can blame LeBron though because it was the entire Heat team that quit after the 1st Quarter.

I remember they got 11 points in the entire 2nd quarter. Then about 6 minutes in the 3rd quarter they only mustered up 2 points. That's 13 total points in about 18 minutes.

he played close to 42 mins in that game and was the best defender on heat. He did a great job on parker. as soon as he stopped guarding Parker, Parker goes off and scores on 6-7 straight possessions.

How old is Bron again?

Bron is one of the greatest physical specimen in sports history. In an era where training and athletes are said to be superior he is the most superior.

Yet he sat down because he was fatigued?

I understand sitting for a minute or two, but for the rest of the game?

So... the game was outta hand ya'll say. So why were Wade and Bosh still in? the lead was cut at one point. If he gets in makes a few points things may change.

So he was doing a great job at guarding Parker? huh? Parker was missing wide open shots. He was actually hitting contested shots when he finally got his rhythm.

Since people wanna compare Bron to MJ...

MJ in 98 (older than Bron) was playing up to 46 minutes while having to guard Miller, in a more physical and intense era.

I was willing to give Bron a pass, but some of the excuses are lame.

Look, a bunch of people on here would say he padded.

But it's the Finals, who cares? There have been countless leads like that overturned.

Because they had gotten rest throughout the game unlike Lebron.

The haters seem to be deriving no pleasure from this Heat loss. I mean, LeBron lost, but unlike '10 or '11, there's nothing you can really get on his case for here. He had a very good series for the most part. Wasn't perfect, but really, even had he done significantly more, his team would've still lost. He's the last person anyone would point their finger to. Haters know this and it's eating them up inside. Their main agenda(to see LeBron lose) took place, but it feels like a hollow victory. LeBron remains a 2 time champion with nothing to prove, had another historically good postseason and was very good in the losing series. Sooo....what do we hate on?? Nothing, really. But haters, if nothing, are a desperate bunch. So you get threads like these. ZOMG WHY DID LEBRON CHECK OUT IN THE 4TH QTR OF A BLOWOUT?1???

What do you want him to do? He had played every single minute of the game up to that point and Miami was getting their ass kicked. I'm sure the goal was to get a few minutes of rest and see if his teammates could make it a game. They couldn't.

As far as "Kobe would've gone down shooting" is concerned....really? Given his penchant for exiting non-championship seasons by often getting completely humiliated in the last game, I'd suggest his stans go look up his production and minutes played in each of his exits in '03, '04, '06, '08, '11 and '12. The evidence clearly suggests no, he wouldn't have gone down shooting. And understandably so. What's the point of staying on the court and shot jacking with the game over? Honestly, had LeBron stayed in the game and ended up with 35-40 points, OP and those agreeing with him would be the first to bitch about "stat padding".

One thing Lebron fears more than failing is trying and failing.
