View Full Version : Lebron with 31/10/5...heat still lose

i keep hearing he played "average". :oldlol: those numbers are better than jordan's career playoff numbers. better than kobe's career average in the finals.
you give bron any semblance of help, and he wins another title. the 90's bulls? they still go 6/6 (jordan stans love bringing him up, but lebron had nowhere near the help or coaching jordan did)

Help? LOL dude, he is the most helped superstar of all time. It happens when you turn your superstar team mates into spot up shooters. Lebron's game make his team mates worst. Dribble the ball for 20 seconds, with 4 seconds left on the shot clock pass to team mate.
His stats look good on paper but if you see him play, he has no impact.

Stats reminds me of MJ before he got thru the bad boys.
No secret that was amazing at times in these Finals. His teammates, bad coaching and unfavorable matchups all deserve most of the blame.

MJ took a long time to finally start winning, but once he started winning he didn't lose. And let's not act like Scottie Pippen was always there in playoff games. I remember Scottie getting shut down by Anthony Mason so often.

Probably his best Finals series. I think if you put this Lebron on the '07 Cavs, they stand a good chance of winning.

Game 1- got scared and faked cramps
Game 2- great game
Game 3- played 1 quarter
Game 4- played 1 quarter
Game 5 - played 1 quarter and quit on his team w/ 7 minutes left
Overall, pathetic series by the supposed best player and the leader of his team. Horrible defense throughout the series too. Got outplayed by a 22-year old.

Nobody is/should "blame" Lebron for this series...he played well, but he didn't dominate and wasn't great.
That is the point.
We are comparing Lebron now officially to the best 5 to 10 players of all time.
And Lebron stans want him to be for sure ranked over some guys....and that just isn't happening with his career to date.
You put this Heat team in the West for the last 4 years and the Thunder in the East, and the Heat might only have won 1 title and made the finals once. That is how big of a difference and how much easier the Heat had it playing in the East.
11? Nope...lose to the Mavs in WCF
12? Yes...likely win it all
13? Perhaps, the Heat were injured and playing terrible in the East and Wade was clearly healthy by the finals. Having to play real teams makes it a lot harder once getting to the finals
14? Nope...lose to Thunder, Clippers, or Spurs...
That is the point Lebron stans need to understand. Your 4 finals appearances is inflated as **** playing in a joke conference....and winning 2 titles in 4 years given the circumstances was just expected. It's average. End of story.

i think his best finals was in 2012, but this is definitely his most efficient one.

I really wonder if LeBron took a "break" from BBall for a year and a half and shat the bed in the playoffs, if he would get a pass.
Everything, and I mean everything is this guys fault. He has to literally win every year, play great defense every play, make every clutch shot. And people even expected him to score with, get this, the entire Spurs team, YEAH 5 PLAYERS while they go on runs(On top of scoring half his teams points on 70+ TS% in the quarter before). I mean LeBron and Wilt had to have had the most daunting tasks and expectations because of their sheer talent.
In a nutshell, people have basically expected this dude to put up 60/10/10 with elite defense every game of these Finals. Boiled down, with how much they expect him to score(literally every time he's in the game, and assisst all his teammates) they expect this man to do unfathomable things that haven't been done.
It's like people set the bar to an inhman level so he has to fail. It's really just uncalled-for shit that shouldn't be taken serious as an actual expectation. And that's why I'm about to stop replying to threads like these.

When did Jordan lead his team in points, rebounds, assist, steals, FG%? And when has he outscored the rest of the starters combined? Lebron is the most relied on of all time, his team can't do shiit when he catches a breather. Of course Jordan had more help, unless you're blind.

And remember he has to score every point in the last 5 minutes of the game, if another teammate made a shot they will say Lebron got bailed out again:roll: It cracks me up everytime.
He should also make a buzzer beating shot to win the game by 1 otherwise they will say he pads his stat in a decided game
Edit: Oh, and the Heat mustn't get a call in the last 6 minutes or it's rigged.

This
There were playoffs games MJ NEEDED to score 40+, 50+ pts to beat his opponent, not just to stat pad. Are the LeBron stans admitting Bran can't get you 40 or 50 point games when his teammates aren't getting it done :confusedshrug: I watched MJ drag his Bulls to victory numerous times when everyone else were having a terrible shooting game.
That's the difference between Mike and LeBron, Jordan would impose his will on the game and push his team across the finish line while LeBron has shown us some glimpses of that but it's much more common for LeBron to fade away like yesterday than be able to muster up a GM 6 vs Boston type game.
LBJ is a great player, best of his generation, he's just not on MJ's level and frankly, never will be.

I dont put much blame on LeBald for this one. He is an empty stat player. The bailout masters, Ray/Wade/Bosh should've been there when he needed them most.
2-5
LeBron's Finals this year were a lot like Durant's 2012 Finals. Yeah, his efficiency was great and his stats look pretty good on paper, but the rest of the game just wasn't there. His defense was mediocre, his play-making wasn't the same, and he was a turnover machine. Also, LeBron was clearly outplayed by Leonard in the two biggest games of the series on Bron's home court, he's a role player but looked like an All-Star in games 3-5 with LeBron defending him. Although unlike LeBron, for Durant's performance, he has the explanation of not being in his prime yet and inexperience/still learning the playoff ropes. LeBron was just inconsistent throughout the series outside of that great game 2. His lack of a killer instinct and passiveness in moments when the team needed him to step up was clearly an issue. With all that said however San Antonio was just simply the better team.

Jordan was dragging his Bulls teams up against Birds Celtics and Pistons Bad Boys in the top heavy 86-89 EC. Bron got to the Finals in 07 in a garbage EC and quickly got destroyed when they finally played a legit team. If you think Bran gets those Cavs past Bird's Celtics or the Bad Boys Pistons, then you're dumber than you sound...MJ's 89 Bulls easily wins the 07 EC and pretty sure MJ can take a game or two in the Finals.

LeBron played better impact-wise on the road than he did at home (sans post-cramp big Spurs run which he missed, neverending chicken-or-the-egg debate aside just stating it)
+/- at home: -21
+/- on the road: -1.7
On a side note, VS the Spurs LeBron average 25/5dimes/5TOs at home being a first option. Kobe averaged 30/10dimes/3TOs at home being "a 1b option" in 2001 playoffs vs #1 ranked Spurs D.
Back to the game in discussion. Thing is, because LeBron seemed passive, or lost or whatever after Miami took and surrendered a 22-6 lead he didn't get a pass because he had a good game statistically. Regardless it's what stats don't show, ie stuff on the defensive end, where the Heat lost that game. Whether it's hot Spurs shooting more than poor Miami D or not it doesn't matter now. Series is over and done with.

Defensively? where? He's only good one quarter in every games of the series. Where's his will to win? Didn't feel it during the series. Where is he when he needed to take over? His +/-? He looks like he's stat padding his stats out there.
