Not sure why people are acting like Leonard is better.
Put him on an incredible system like the Spurs and he will easily match Leonard's production

Except he got destroyed by Lillard

Agree. Not his fault he has to play with two selfish ball hogging attention whoring divas and a coach who caters to it.

That wasn't his man on defense though, brother.

I saw him guarding Batum most of the game.
Both Parsons and Leonard killed the Blazers, but they got a lot of open 3s. Batum spends so much time doing help D and can't close out fast enough, and the Blazers were punished for it by both players.

I think you are just recalling the final shot of the series when there was a switch.

Against Portland
Kawhi: 17/8/3/1/1 on 66% TS
Parsons: 19/7/2 on 52% TS
Kawhi also played elite defense and didn't have the series-clinching game winner drained in his face.

Like I said, that was the only play I can recall with Parsons intentionally on Lillard, and that was because Harden for some reason told him and Beverly to switch. This is Lillard's game 6 highlights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-v4d0EGyhqk

Parsons plays elite defense as well and that's an impossible shot to stop.

I remember there were stretches when Jeremy Lin was in the game and parsons was guarding Lillard. I don't know which games they were but he did guard Lillard

It must have been very rare, because a majority of the series it was definitely Beverly and Lin switching on him depending on which of the 2 were in.

I think it was the later games of the series. Mchale wouldn't let Lin guard Lillard when Beverly was out. Parsons was on him instead
Around the time Beverley got sick

If there were times that neither Beverly or Lin were out, that would make sense. I don't recall it, and it didn't happen in game 6. Game 6 was Lin or Beverly every time with the exception of the final play.

Probably games 4 and 5 because 6 was in Beverly came back

I believe you that he guarded him. But it couldn't have been too effective if they didn't stick with it. I'm also not so sure the sample size was large enough to accurately judge how well he did though.

Parsons played well, but it only seemed to be in the first half. Always forgot about him by the 3rd quarter.

he played like horseshit. worst defense ever and that after running his mouth. destroyed by Batum too. left Lillard open 5 feet for the series winning buzzer beater.
dude is a fashion model and has no business getting the ball that often.
he scored only 4-5 second half points too:facepalm :facepalm

Lin held Lillard to Zero points for 11:59 of the 4th quater in game 6. he was on Lillard the entire time and Lillard couldnt even get his shots off anymore.
then Lin was subbed out for the final play(:biggums: :biggums: :biggums: ) and Parsons and Scruberley managed to give Lillard 5 feet of space when everyone knew he was getting the ball:roll:

I'm still a fan of Parsons and I used to pick him over Leonard last year...but man his defense is SHIT. He gets beat everywhere. On the perimeter, in the post, on help, on backdoors. Dunno what's happening...I don't recall him being this bad on D before but honestly, I was so focused on Harden's shit defense, I probably just never paid much attention.
