2 Finals Appearances.
1 Championship.
3 ECF appearances.

Did the Heat, now the Celtics.

Considering they were all past their prime, yeah. It was kind of a success.

They were build to win more than one title but the franchise didn't win one for 22 yrs prior to '08. So I call it a success even though it should of been better.

Why do people assume this is not a young mans sport :confusedshrug:

When Peirce , Garnet and allen were together , they were on the down hill of their careers.

One chip was amazing.

Nope. Weak East. Doesn't count.

We got old fast. Real fast. We should have done better with those 09 and 10 teams. It was a fun ride while it lasted, though.

So Ray Allen SIX YEARS LATER is HoF great support for LBJ and the Heat but for Boston he was too old?

God I hate this place.

They weren't the same after KG's mysterious injury in '09.

Should have won in '10 though; Doc screwed up that game 7.

I would say so. Here is a year-by-year breakdown of how far they got:

Injuries killed them in 2009 when their playoff PF/C rotation was Glen Davis, Mikki Moore, and Kendrick Perkins.

2010 had the Celtics getting to the last quarter of Game 7 of the Finals.

2011 had Rondo (best player) getting his elbow broken by D-Wade and the eventual champions.

2012 had an epic run to Game 7 of ECF against the eventual champions after losing 3 rotation players to season-ending injuries and Ray Allen needing career-saving bone spur surgery.

The shitty 2013 season had no excuses. Any chance of playoff success was eliminated when Rondo tore his ACL anyway.

Only one ISH would a championship and two finals appearances be a questionable success. When was the last time the Celtics were relevant before the Big 3 teamed up?
