Who is the better player? Career and peak wise. I can see the similarities in both players. Both were for the most part 3rd options on championship teams for years. Both have never made an All-NBA First or Second Team, but are without a doubt hall of fame players.

Ginobili
4x NBA Champion
2004 Olympic Gold Medal
2008 6th Man of the Year
2x NBA All-Star
2x All-NBA 3rd Team

Worthy
3x Champion
1988 NBA Finals MVP
7x NBA All-Star
2x All-NBA 3rd Team

At their peak...
Ginobili - 19.5 PPG | 5 RPG | 4.5 APG | 46 FG% | 40 3PT% | 86 FT%
Worthy - 21 PPG | 6 RPG | 3.5 APG | 55 FG% | 78 FT%

Anyone who says Ginobili clearly hasn't read about or watched James Worthy play.

It's not a big gap, but it's clear as to who the better player was/is.

Prime Manu was not a better player than Prime Worthy.

Not a better defender, not better offensively. Worthy was devastating in the post and on the break

Worthy is the more talented (and better?) player, but i think in terms of expectations, what he does for the team, Manu exceeds him.

It's not a bad comparison. Worthy was an All-Star, but he wasn't a player who dominated games and made All-NBA First Teams.
