View Full Version : Lebron is going to be motivated to win another MVp and finals MVP next year.

We are going to see Lebron take his game into a higher level. I think he's gonna rest his body, and he won't play in the 2014 FIBA World Championship.

He hates losing. And he's going to be more offensively aggressive next season, and plays some high quality defense every night

just like he was going to be "motivated" from Durant winning MVP, right?

his peak was 3 years ago in the playoffs man, he ain't getting better.

It's going to be tough and I think another year of decline, it will be harder.

He is another year older and he is what he is since he is in his prime right now.

Durant is still ringless. He won't win an NBA title unless his improves his defense and leadership.

Lebron vs. the spurs is better than KD againts the same Spurs team.

Unless he makes a concerted effort to score more, which he usually doesn't want to do, it's not going to happen. He's playing at an all time great level, but he's not going to be playing any better than he has the past few years.

Lebron has a very high basketball IQ. I think he'll adjust his game as he grows older.

Lebron just had his 2nd best and most efficient scoring performance in the NBA Finals.

He doesn't dominate the Finals. He is efficient, which I agree, but he is as efficient as Patty Mills and Leonard. Just good and efficient.

I think he'll score more next season if the Heat wants to advance in the NBA Finals, and they need to get the home court advantage in the playoffs.

The Heat lacks motivation this year. They also need to sign some younger and athletic role players.

The East will be much better next year, and I doubt Miami makes 5 straight finals

Despite how bad Miami was against the Spurs they are still way better than everyone in the East, who is going to stop them? Raps? Nets? Pacers had the best shot and they fell apart right as the season ended.

KD at just age 23 eviscerated the spurs much harder than lebron will ever come close to.

Offense isnt a problem for him but when hes not playing incredibly shitty offenses like the Cats, Nets and Pacers his defense gets exposed. Him and the entire Heat besides Birdman and Cole were liabilities on defense and Lebrons putrid team/help defense was a major part of that

They were a different spurs team. And OKC still had James Harden.

lol what.

KD at just age 23 eviscerated the spurs much harder than lebron will ever come close to.

It's crazy how much better Lebron has been in the playoffs and how dominant Westbrook was even superior to Durant.

Lebron: 31.1 PER, 4.3 WS, +63 +/- in 20 games

Durant: 22.6 PER, 2.5 WS, +10 +/- in 19 games

Westbrook: 24.9 PER, 2.5 WS, +38 +/- in 19 games

Lebron's run is 8th all-time in PER and 19th in WS. Only a handful of better runs belong to a player who made it as far as the finals. Just to put things in context.

vs. Spurs

Lebron: 28.2 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 4.0 apg, 2.0 spg on 57.1 %FG/67.9 %TS with 3.8 topg

Durant: 25.8 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 3.2 apg, 1.2 spg on 47.5 %FG/56.0 %TS with 3.3 topg

Westbrook: 26.8 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 7.3 apg, 3.2 spg on 40.7 %FG/54.4 %TS with 4.0 topg

He should have been motivated to do both of those this year. Instead, he checked out when he saw he couldn't win.

I'll never deny the guy's talent, but he makes some marvelously dumb decisions from time to time.

anyone who doubts LeBron is winning another MVP( and FMVP if the Heat upgrade their PATHETIC roster) is clearly insane.
if LEBron has anything close to this years finals again, with a good supportin cast it will be easy work

A team that lost 3 times on the way to finals has a pathetic roster?

It was more than enough for you before the finals started. Now you got excuses.

The Eastern Conference is pathetic, not the Heat's roster.

What do you know, a Lebron fan saying it will be "easy"! Just like that ass whoopin Bron and his squad took against the Spurs.

no more titles no more rings for LeBrick

LeBum will never be all-time top 20

mentally weak .. not clutch .. pathetic leader

LeBron's failure 2011 was EPIC in total.

No other player in history has failed in the fourth quarter of finals games at that level EVER.

It was at almost a total QUITTER level. I don't think you can ever recover from that

2010 and 2014 almost the same

You have to take into account what happened in the 2010, 2011 and 2014 playoffs in evaluating LeBron's career

"I don't need more motivation."

Even though I hate people throwing this word around, dude is the most beta player ever.

Who tattoos "The King" on himself? Who promises lots of championships to multiple teams and still comes up short? Who says he's gonna retire a top four all time player, even though he hasn't even cemented himself in the top four post-Jordan?

STFU Kobetard. Kobe and the lakers are underachieving and sucking since 2011.

They failed to advanced into the 2nd round of the playoffs with a Prime Howard. And you cannot blame LeBron in the 2014 NBA Finals. He's the best player in this series.

Stuck it out? Dude has never played on a team with less than 50 wins and gets paid less than 10 million dollars a year. Has admitted to giving the team to another inferior player. Alpha indeed.

Dude is happy with his teammates winning FMVP over him. Twice.

Dude is a huge beta. Have you seen him with Robinson hugging him from behind? Probably the biggest beta in the Top 10.

Get that shit out of here. Alpha and beta. Who started the ISH trend to use these words. :oldlol:

He certainly shouldn't aim for season MVP. He should aim to play less than 35mpg next year (or even less) because he looked gassed in the finals (game 5 he went all out for a quarter and then didn't have much left in the tank) and is only getting older. If he wants to beat the Spurs next year he needs to dial it back in the regular season, because Miami will need him to be dominant on both ends against them, not just for stretches, but for whole games.

What? He had one of the best supporting casts of any championship team. SAS were incredibly deep and had like 8 guys who could come in and make a real difference.

Really? Is this what people are gonna start doing? 2014 is a "weak" team that Duncan lead to a chip? That is some super strength revisionism.

Sorry bro, but that "weak" team wins that title with or without Duncan.

LeBron needs to worry about winning 2 more rings before his career is over JUST to have an over .500 winning finals record, and not go down as the Peyton Manning of the NBA. He shouldn't even worry about trying to catch Kobe until that happens.

Yeah because he played like ass for 4/5 games to begin the series last year.

And this year, who cares about his FG%?? He shot close to 50% in 2011.. FG% doesn't matter when you're losing every game by 20.

Dude would come out and be aggressive for like a quarter and then just fell back.

When you lose in 5 it doesn't matter.

Bron willed his team to nathan after game 2. Blow outs negate stats, especially fg%. I'm sure nobody wants to hear about what your FG% was after you get beat by 20.
