View Full Version : Prime Shaq + Lebron... how many rings?

Jameerthefear

Lebron is a better passer, rebounder, defender, and scorer than Kobe. He also won't chase him off the team. How many rings?

7 total, 3 FMVPs for Shaq, 4 for LeBron

Kobe would 0 rings

Depends on the rest of his roster.. who's at PG/SG/and PF? and which era/conference is he playing in?
Basically switch Kobe with LBJ.

VIntageNOvel
06-18-2014, 10:26 PM
1 ring max

he clog the paint, doesnt spread the floor
and would do 2011 so shaq doesnt win fmvp,
but shaq wouldnt defer like wade,
so it would be ugly

If Shaq got a young LeBron(21 y/o)?

Shaq backpacks LeBron from '00-'03. LeBron backpacks Shaq from '03-07-ish

7 titles. With the right cast.

Realistically around 5 rings. Give or take.

Wow, Shaq and Kobe played for 8 seasons together, so that would mean Shaq + LBJ together for 8 years...Good lord.

I'm thinking 6 Championships, 3 Finals MVPs a piece.

RIP to the league

It wouldn't matter up until 2009-2010 when Shaq began to truly deteriorate to being nothing more than a roleplayer and literally had nothing left. You can argue before that but that was when he got downright embarrassing. Which is when Lebron teamed with him and couldn't win.

The reason I say it wouldn't matter is because if Shaq is the exact same player, then Lebron shouldn't get credit for the Finals MVPs that team would get either. Shaq was one of the most dominant forces in the NBA during his prime, which is why Kobe gets discredited no matter the stats he put up at that time. So in terms of rings, I say one or two at best because Vintage is right. Shaq wouldn't take a sidekick role and Lebron isn't going to take the sidekick role either, so you're gonna have issues as to who's team it is.

0 rings. Lebron would purposely sabotage the finals every year if Shaq outplays him, which would be every year until about 2008.

5 plus, I can see Lebron playing more pointguard if this was the case.
**** that would've been awesome.

LeBron was young and clearly not on Shaqs level at his age. He's smart, he'd let Shaq be the guy. But once he hits like, 23(LeBron's prime) and Shaq had already regressed by then(2003). It would be his team. Shaq got carried by Dwade. He'd let LeBron do it.

4 titles, Shaq with 4 FMVP, LeBran happy to be the bitch so Shaq retires in LA. Bran never averages above 25 ppg in the finals while Shaq averages 30+, after Shaq retires, LeBran never returns to the finals because he can't compete in the west as the #1.

Nobody considers LeBran in the top 10, maybe top 20 because of the 4 rings and stat padded stats.

A lot depends on what they have around them. Will they have role players who understand their roles? If they have the right pieces around them; coach and players, a decade of dominance for a prime Shaq and LeBron.

These two were just beasts together.

Even Lebron and the big 3 can't score almost 60% of their team's points and these were just 2 guys.

maybe 3 if they are lucky. really though, whos goign to step up and take leadership? centers, no matter how legendary they are, cant take offensive control of the game like SG's and PGs. Lebron doesnt have the will to take offensive control of the game, as we witnessed his entire ****ing career. so the most they win is 3. but i would guess they win 2.

shaq always needed an offensive minded SG to win the chip. he even played with lebron and didnt win a chip. there you go.

No, I don't think he can play within the triangle, hes a great passer, so that helps, but I don't feel that hes the type of player you want in the triangle, as it won't use his strengths.

I'm talking bout from a scoring point of view.

Pippen had MJ. If you replace Kobe with Lebron then who's gonna produce Kobe's scoring output.

Lebron's jumper isn't better than Kobe's and he's not a better scorer than Kobe no matter how much you hate the guy Kobe is just better than Lebron on the offensive end

Lebron's efficiency speaks for itself. He doesn't need a lot of shots to get his points. Plus more shot opportunities will go to Shaq so that means more foul trouble for the opposing team, especially with Lebron's excellent passing.

LMAO this is true. When will Kobe stans realize LeBron is actually better than Kobe at Kobe's best skill (scoring)

1999-00 - Championship
2000-01 - Championship
2001-02 - Championship

2003-04 - Championship
