View Full Version : Is It Fair to Say Pop 'Pwns' Bron?

Bron in the finals against Pop (3 of the 5 he's played):

25.2 PPG/ 8.5 RPG/ 5.9 APG/ 3.75 TO (45.6% FG, 37% FG, 76% FT)

1-2 Series record, 5-11 overall record. Only thing that prevented it from being 0-3 series and 4-12 overall was a miracle from Jesus himself.

Since '2/5' is the term du jour around these parts- 2 out of 5 of Pop's rings have come at the expense of Bron. That's a whopping 40% of his total. Again, one shot by Mr. Shuttlesworth was the difference from it being 3/6.

those are the real lebron stats. He basically just stat pads against weak eastern conference teams, but the finals come and he's exposed of the real him.

Pretty impressive performance, got beat by a legendary team led by a legendary coach twice, that's pretty much it. He still won against them nonetheless.

Now compare that with Kobe...

So their record against each other is 2 to Pop and 1 to Bron?

And it's basically 1-1 with evenly matched teams.

I wouldn't say that's owning anyone.

Pop is a legendary coach and in my opinion the best coach ever Heat still beat him once though.

You'd have a point here if he wasn't so badly exposed in 2007 and swept. I don't hold it against him so much that he lost because he wasn't in his prime yet and the Spurs were heavily favored to win, but he played so far below what you would have expected from him and if he played even close to his usual level the series would have been closer.

This.

The finals isn't the only playoff series that counts.

Kobe led his team past the Spurs en route to a championship. His stats against the Spurs was 33-7-7-2-1 on 50% shooting. The finals are not the only series in the playoffs, and the Spurs have lost many times before then.

LeBron's cherry picked "real" stats are better than Kobe's. :oldlol:
