TWolves offered the trade apparently. If we give up Thompson, I think we should keep the pick.

Stauskas?
It's a home-run trade if you keep the pick, with the pick it seems fair value, but if you don't it's just ok.

seems like a decent trade for both.

Meh, a Warriors 1st round with the roster they would have post-Love trade would be late 20s. I would do the trade if I'm Golden State.

That would be a great trade for both sides.
Only thing that sucks is the Splash Brother will no longer be together...

I think this GSW/Minny trade is Love Lee.

If Minnesota actually offered that then Gstate should freaking run with it :oldlol:

What's Thompson's and Lee's contract situation?

If the deal falls through then GSW has 4 PGs in their lineup
Curry, Blake, Crawford and Barea

Blake and Crawford are both free agents, and I doubt we can afford to keep either.
Lee has 2 more years at $15m per. Thompson will be in his last year of his rookie deal at $3m.

I believe Thompson is eligible this summer for an extension (he's played 3 years now, right?). He's RFA next summer I believe. Lee's contract is a bit of an albatross given how bad he is defensively. I saw ESPN report that GSW would receive 2014 #13, and if that's the case, I definitely do this trade if I'm Golden State. I'm unsure if Barea would be a stretch provision candidate, but at worst he's just an expiring guy. My guess he'd be an end-of-bench guy and they'd bring back Crawford & let go of Blake. Martin is overpaid, but he'd upgrade their second unit with his shooting ability ('m assuming GSW wouldn't attempt to play Curry-Martin-Love trio often together). That lotto pick could net a nice young piece or be traded for more picks (maybe to Phoenix for #18 + #27)
If your Minnesota, is this the best deal? Upgrade at SG, lose a dead weight expiring, take on 2 years' worth of a pricey offensively solid/defensively challenged PF, and lose a late lotto pick in a good draft. Their interior D would be terrible if they paired Lee/Pekovic. Dieng is on the roster though.

**** man, Green improves his shooting and a Curry - Iggy - Green - Love - Bogut starting 5 would be ****ing amazing. Great defenders in Iggy, Green, and Bogut, and great passing by everyone. Best offense in the league, top 5 defense

If this Love deal doesn't fall through, I hope we can get Livingston and keep Crawford
Curry - Livingston - Nedavic
Klay - Crawford
Iggy - Green - Barnes
Lee - Speights
Bogut - Ezeli

Warriors were 12th in offensive efficiency, and 3rd in defensive efficiency. Adding Kevin Love will drop you to about 8th.
Will probably be top 8 in both, but let's not get carried away.

Alright, I am getting carried away on the offense but, but 12th with Mark Jackson's ISO plays is pretty good. If Kerr implements a real offense, and with the addition of Love, we can easily hop to a top 5-10 offense. As for defense, Love can't be any worse than Lee. Losing Klay will drop us, but hopefully not all the way down to 8th. Bogut's the real defensive anchor of the team.
That backcourt defense GSW defense. :lol
:coleman:
Move Iggy to SG and we're all good...
Curry (bad defender)
Iggy (great defender)
Green (great defender)
Love (bad defender)
Bogut (great defender)
