Near double-double off the bench?
Most Improved Player?
Barely sniffs the rotation?

I think he'll average a league record 3 cheeseburgers/48 minutes.

If he gets traded to the Hawks (the Hawks can send the no. 15 overall pick), then he will do well.
He can be a Paul Millsap-type, with more athleticism and strength.
Send him to Atlanta where he will be around professional guys like Louis Williams, Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver, Al Horford, Pero Antic, Paul Millsap.
The Cavs don't know how to handle him.

Top 15 power forward.
I think this is realistic. I sincerely hope he is spending the summer conditioning and tightening up his loosey goosey frame.

I can't remember where I read/heard it but supposedly he's finally in shape. I think that he'll play and I think he's actually going to be a decent player.

He'll be fine. I think he's going to start at PF over TT.

This cavs roster has so much potential for change this offseason it's hard to tell, maybe a starter putting up 12 & 8, maybe a garbage time player (I hope not). Good news is they seem to be taking a fresh direction so the opportunity to succeed should be there for him.

The problem with Bennett is that even if he ends up being a decent scorer he's still so freaking slow, (and short) that he's always going to be a complete shit defender. He'd better score a lot of points and grab a lot of boards to make up for it.
My guess: 10/6 next year playing pretty extended minutes.
They should give a lot of Tristan Thompson's minutes to him, TT is sneaky bad. Like, people never really talk shit about him but he's pretty mediocre.

I think with this new coach who is coming from Europe..Bennett will get some time early on. But I'm not sure how long that will last with his work ethic. I can see around 6-8ppg 5-7 rpg on poor efficiency.

I think he'll average something like 10/6 on 45%FG. Obviously not very good for a 1st pick, but it would be a nice step forward.

Dude sucks ass. Haven't seen another #1 pick miss as many wide open layups and dunks as him.
At best, he's gonna be a 8/5/1 on 45% player.

AB never got a real shot to play under Brown, whether it was his fault or that's just the way Brown brings along his young players. The Cavs' other draft pick -- Sergie Karasev -- played even less than Bennett.
I don't think most of the people killing him all season ever actually watched him play. For those of us who did, he showed nice flashes in the second half of the season. I forget the exact statistics off-hand, but I remember it being something like he only played over 20 minutes in seven games all season long and he scored in double-figures in every one of those games, including a few double-doubles.
He'll get his first real shot in the NBA next season.

So pretty much that's what he averaged a couple months last season with just 17 minutes per game.

Honestly I feel like he's gonna surprise alot of doubters. If you follow him Instagram you'll see that he lost alot of fat. So you already know he's been working hard. I think he's gonna come out and average 10-12 points and 7-8 rebounds off the bench.

8/5/1 over a month (with some generous rounding).
Bad defender, no jumpshot, no post game, can't finish at the rim, and he can't even hit wide open 3's.
If you think he's gonna be a better player, he needs MASSIVE improvement.

Hard to judge him with the way potato head used him..
I could see him easily being a 12/8 guy. Depends what the cavs do with there roster and who's coaching.. I'm sure his confidence was completely fu*ked under brown

I think this is doable. He just wasn't ready to be a #1 pick.
When he was picked he was totally surprised and couldn't believe it.
He didn't work out because of the shoulder injury (no excuse).
So when he came back semi-healthy he still had to lose weight and get into game shape.
He has sleep apnea and asthma.
Then when he started to turn the corner last season in February he had a leg injury.
He had surgery in May to remove tonsils and adenoids to help improve the condition.
I think he's taking part of the Summer League if I'm not mistakened?
In any case I think he'll surprise a lot of people.
Here some pictures of him a few weeks ago:

...although I found it funny some of his Twitter posts was specifically about food. :oldlol:

There's no doubt he needs improvement, he set himself up for failure coming in to the season out of shape. Then on top of that all the pressure.
He definitely has a jumpshot though. It's just a confidence thing.

You can see he has it. I think it's mostly the way Brown was using him, then the injury set him back at the beginning of the season and towards the end. There were times where the Cavs were sucking and Brown would refuse to put Bennett in to give him any burn even though we were on several game losing streaks.
I hope he returns to shape and really surprise people. I know he will get in shape.

Aren't you a Heat fan? How many times did you honestly watch Bennett play last season?
Here's what I don't understand... So many people seem to have such concrete opinions on AB, but I watched every second of every Cavs game and I still feel totally unprepared to give any longterm projection of Bennett. He just didn't get enough playing time to form a total viewpoint upon.
He came into the season off of an injury and was totally out of shape in the few minutes he did play. Then, Brown sat him completely for a large portion of the season. In the last half of the year, his minutes finally started to get consistent again and he started showing really positive signs before an injury effectively ended his season.
That is about as detailed as you can get regarding AB's rookie season and it ain't much. Maybe he will be a complete bust? I do not personally think so based on what I saw when he got into shape and started getting a little comfortable, but again... I just didn't see enough of him to project with confidence.
Others seem so sure with their "analysis" I can't help but wonder if they're basing any of it on actual game footage or if they're simply jumping on the most convenient narrative.
