Galaxy five or HTC one?

HTC One is actually a very good phone and nice looking but it is a monstrosity. It is very big.

Galaxy is overrated. When it came out, it was a great phone but every upgrade is minimal and it is also a monstrosity. How people fit these phones in their pocket amazes me.

The best phone right now is the iPhone -or- the Sony Xperia Z2, go go google it. It is the same size as an iphone but the screen is edge to edge. Big screen in a compact size.

It really depends on your need.
HTC One for the duo-camera (refocus photo after it's taken, and other effects) and duo flash, better front facing camera (wide angle), not to mention the best looking phone out there with the metal unibody, the stereo front speaker means I don't have to turn the phone upside down. Double tap screen to wake up is an underrated feature.

S5 has a better point and shoot camera, plus having a back cover means you could bring a spare battery with you instead of a portable power source. Bigger screen with the hardware buttons.

as far as user interface Sense is more advance than Touchwiz, however it's indifferent to me since I tend to use 3rd party launchers.

I'd go with the HTC but both are top notch you can't go wrong with either one.

I use the Sony Xperia as well and it's perfect for all needs.

Wait for the LG G3 if you like big phones. It will be the best phone on the market when it comes out next month.

The One or One M8? I have the M8, its better than my Galaxy S3, runs faster and smoother

Its a touch screen phone so the bigger the better really as you get a bigger screen

Touchwhiz is terrible. Get Nova Launcher or root it and put a custom rom on it. For 99% of people, that is too advanced :oldlol:

I have an S4 but I prefer the HTC One. I'm just tied into Samsung on a few other things and the instant connectivity is nice. And it's a great phone anyway. Love having the spare battery.

I just found a nice app for syncing it to iTunes actually, and being able to jam in a 128 gig micro SD card in there was great.

Only downside I see with HTC was their entire company was falling apart starting from ownership to management. I would be careful purchasing from them.

I like the iphone...its simple and the most common phone...so if u ever need a charger u can find someone with one...and ur buddies will probably have an iphone so if u have problems u can ask one of them how to fix it.

I don't really think the other sh*t matters too much. Like PS4 vs Xbox...that sh*t hardly matters beyond a few exclusive games like Halo. So when i get one of them, im just going to get whichever one is more popular by then so that i can trade games with friends and the online community will be more poppin.

So just get the galaxy if its between that and htc one.

I like Apple's direction and although they are targeting the mass consumers, you can tell who has money or not by the phone they are using.

The iPhone is the greatest phone of all time and because of that hefty price, it is still pretty exclusive. You can usually tell a lot about someone by the phone they use.

Anyways, this topic would be worth discussing 2 years ago, but right now when phones have hit a plateau in terms of advancement, they are all equally good but it is more apparent that the iPhone is the way to go.

So when everyone was using landlines...were we sheeps?

Like the other poster said, the iPhone is basically what everyone should have. It is a cellphone version of the landline that everyone must have.

Don't worry, I know a lot of people that bash the iPhone but eventually got one.

IOS is trending down

Droid is trending up

MSoft phones are alos slowly trending up...now have almost a 4% market share, and just had a 2% share a couple years ago. Look for them to be actual players in 5-6 years as they have endless money and will not give up trying to find a legit spot in the increasingly important smart phone market.

The trend is skewed because there are a lot of generic devices that run Droid where only one device runs IOS. Of course you are going to see a bigger market share.

That is fine with me. It means my iPhone is much more exclusive and at a higher price point it will single out anyone that is not suppose to own one. Like I said, mine is a beautiful device that everyone wishes to have.

All fanboy-ism set aside, Apple is fena checkmate the comp.

They're gonna address most average consumer's detractions, while also all but steaking a big knife in geek's main gripes.

The Trojan horse will be Apple's ecosystem and seamless integration/implementation.

iPhone's screen is so tiny... how can anyone even see anything?

And lol at "everyone has an iphone so you can always find a charger!" You realize Android devices use the universal micro usb cable which is wayyyy more prevalent than whatever proprietary crap Apple is using this week.

I always profit and -or- have someone buy my old iPhone and put that money towards a new one. They hold their value.

high end androids are just as expensive if not more expensive then iphones. ive had iphones since gen 1, as well as the first 2 ipads, they suck compared to comparable androids. ultimately, it's up to the person to decide what's best for them, but you can keep telling yourself that we can't afford apple's product. :pimp:

Be on the look out for Chinese phone makers. A few brands are making some fantastic phones for the price already.

I purchased a Xiaomi Mi3 about a month ago for about 320$. Comparable specs to all the other flaghship phones on the market and 64 gigs to boot. Super happy with it so far.

I see someone already posted the One plus One. Same deal. Another very impressive phone for the money.

The Oppo Find 7 is probably the most impressive one out of these three. Don't believe its out yet but reading about and looking up reviews, its quite the value.

Loving the competition!

Profit from a contract phone towards a $199 renewal means nothing. Can be said for most phones.

I have both, Iphone 5s for work and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for personal. I can say I love my note 3, I was skeptical on the size at first, but once you get used to it, nothing compares. My Note 3 broke and I was using my iphone 5s for work/personal for about a week, and that week I couldn't wait for my note 3 to come back in. Only thing I wish my note 3 had was itunes, itunes is so much easier to use than any music app I could find for the android.

If I can find the pro-version of this online, can I download it to my phone? Or do you need to have a rooted phone for that?

I downloaded the free version of this, and I noticed a few cool features on the free one, I just figured it's better to ask if getting the pro one will work by downloading from the net, or are there things in place to stop that with non rooted phones?

Nah, you can get pirated/cracked software on a non-rooted phone. Pretty easy to install too.

Thanks for that. I found the file, just didn't want to be bothered downloading it and then finding out it's not completely possible, and doesn't work properly, etc.
