That's a "Melo is leaving 100% will never come back" and we give up and facilitate it at the last minute trade.

I think Houston is far better so don't get it twisted but something about Melo leaving to play in Houston (Lala where are you?) with James Harden doesn't pass the smell test.

Exactly. Hell, throw in Terrence Jones too for good measure.

Yes becuase players we won't sign and a high first round pick is a great haul. If you want to do a S&T i get it but this is a shit return. Asik or Lin if you want can be had in free agency and kill our pick next year by playing, and the pick is high.

If Knicks get Asik, they would have to move Tyson. Don't see the point in having two defensive anchors. Neither has the ability to space the floor either so they can't even play together at the same time.

Melo says no. C'mon man.... he ain't going nowhere. NYC in for big things; think he's missing out? Rockets are whack, Bulls have no PG and Heat players won't take less. Plus, PJ has made it known he WANTS Melo to build around.

Ya'll are gonna have to get used to that smile in orange and blue a little longer.

By agreeing to this, Knicks are basically saying 'hey, Melo is leaving so let's be a mediocre team for the next few years with no chance at getting elite talent via draft'.

They are better off letting him walk.

As a Knicks fan, I just want Melo out of here unless he takes less money and doesn't go all alpha on PJax and DFish.

How's that kool aid?

I'm not one to predict where Melo ends up. But your post is clearly coming from you being very sensitive about the subject.

Bulls have no PG is your reasoning? How about without even mentioning Rose, the Bulls have the reigning DPOY/1st teamer in Noah. Then Thibs and Taj. Those 2 players and coach trump anything the Knicks currently have on their roster.

And when the **** has Phil said he wants to build around Carmelo? There's plenty talking heads out there that thinks Phil only wants Melo at a discounted rate.

Point being, no one has any real clue what's going on or how it will play out.

People like you who over simplify the situation and act like they know shit are just setting themselves up for heart break.

And nice shot at Rose......

Parapalegic Rose > Felton + Prig

Bulls are better with Melo/Taj/Noah and whatever else than Melo going back with that mess of a roster.

It's all about if he has faith in management to bring in the pieces in 2015.

The Knicks are at 90 million in salary. In what world do they take back salary in a trade for Carmelo and pay 30 million combined next year to Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin?

No one is going to take Asik + Lin. That's two bad contracts.

2 bad contracts on their last year though.

It' s a lot but it will clear room for the next season.

You gotta include Jones,Parsons and 3 mil cash(the max you can give) in order to get this done. You can probably keep the first though. Knicks preserve their future cap space and get a few young players. They can then trade Chandler for more value

So let me get this straight the Rockets have to give Jones AND Parsons AND cash when they could dump Lin and Asik to more than 2-3 teams for NOTHING and sign Melo outright while keeping Parsons

I dont feel sorry for Knicks fans bc they are straight up delusional

You arent getting SHITTT in a sign and trade for Melo sorry

That does the Knicks no good. Like someone mentioned we have Chandler. FYI the Knicks will have Chandler, Bargs, Stat off the books at the same time. So the Knicks dont gain a thing by dealing with Houston unless they came up off Harden. Other than that no way the Knicks sign and trade with the Rockets.

And I see I struck a nerve! :D

Could it be you're upset that PJ has the reigns of NYC, and you're still lumbered with Reinsdorf's thin wallet?

In my mind, it's not logical for Melo to leave the Knicks.I like the guy, but I won't lose sleep if he does. You've been BEGGING him to go to your cheap ass team for months; are the Bulls really gonna pony up for him? It would be a first.

PJ came out and publicly stated he wants Melo all in. They went out to meet him just before the Heat would lose the Finals. Does this say anything to you?

I don't see how you counter your point guard issue with Taj and Noah, but that's your view, so.....

A lame Rose who can't play is better than Felton or Prigs? Who's overly sensitive now?

I believe Rose is DONE. Sorry ~

I'm not as high on the Bulls as some of the "experts" are. They are a great regular-season team that fail to impress in the playoffs. Another year older, like the Nets.
But you can drink your own Kool Aid.... we'll see were the chips fall.

It's true I throw shit out here to "even the playing field" as a fan of NYC. I read so much shit about my team when a simple fact is they don't actually suck so much as they didn't have it together and threw a mediocre at best coach under the bus. If you don't like my posts, you have an option of ignoring them. But I will gladly troll all day as stupidity reigns in ISH. Good luck in the off-season, kid!

3 teamer, Asik to Boston, unguaranteed (free) contracts to Knicks with Lin and Clips 2015, Houston pick. Knicks upgrade at the point, get their golden boy back, save $$ and get 2 picks. Boston effectively gives up a low 1st for Asik. Houston gets Melo. Everyone wins (when Boston trades for Love)

JEremy Lin would immediately become a top 10 player again if he gets back to New York.
together with a first rounder and an elite Center like Asik the Knicks would rape Houston with this trade

They are far from 2 high impact players. People forget Lin successful run came with D'Antoni and he's long gone.

The Knicks are running a triangle offense where on offense players have to be able to beat their one on one match ups. Lin could do it on occassion but his outside shooting is suspect. Asik is defensive.

These contracts mean nothing for the Knicks when we already have Stat, Chandler, Bargs about 45 mill coming off the books at the same time as Asik and Lin.

Expires are worthless to the Knicks at this point unless it can effect 2014.

melo is gone anyways, anything you can get for him is gravy

Although you can argue that with Lin's overpriced contract, he is somewhat of a poison pill
