Brandon Roy
T-Mac
Yao
Greg Oden
Big Z
Shaun Livingston
Arenas

I think Yao would've been the best of this list. He would've been a GOAT center if his feet and knees stayed intact :(

Potential or what they showed before the injuries?

T-Mac
Yao
Arenas
Roy
Big Z
Livingston
Oden

Based on what they actually accomplished in the NBA.

Yao
Oden
T-Mac
Arenas
Roy
Big Z
Livingston

If they had injury free careers. 7'6 skilled center speaks for itself. Oden had some serious flashes early on even with his injuries. If he never got injured at all ever he could rival Yao. T-Mac was T-Mac. One of the best players of the decade regardless. No problem with him at #1, I went with big man potential. Arenas was a chucker. Those 3 years he had with the Wiz were pretty great. Lit the playoffs up once, 25+ ppg, close to 30 twice. Really clutch. Without any injuries he continues to be near the top of the scoring leaders.

I've never been a huge fan of Roy personally. Would've been great without the injuries, I think he came close to his peak in his last year tho. I don't see the what if potential alot seem too. Was a well rounded player, stayed in school for a few years, had some success. 24/5/5 guy was all I think he was which is more valuable than Big Z or Livingston but behind what I think the rest would have done. I never payed much attention to Big Z, I know he got hurt but can't really remember the impact it had on his career.

grant hill? he belongs up there.Of the last Decade, from 2000-2010. I consider Grant as the greatest player to have gotten the injury bug. That man had Jordan/Kobe potential

T-Mac before he was injured was a maniac.

Antonio McDyess was a beast before he got hurt.

I guess he wouldn't count though since he got hurt in 01.

Wait, what? Top list is potential before injury. Bottom is the level they reached before injury. Am I understanding that right?

Because Oden should be above Yao. He's clearly had the best career of everyone on that list.

T-Mac, easily. He's the perfect balance between high ceiling (career, not ability) and certainty. Oden had incredible potential, but he didn't show that much, his offensive was still far from all-time great level even when he was healthy. Yao and Arenas showed a decent amount in their careers with some great years, but neither of their ceilings was as high as T-Mac.

T-Mac put up 27/7/5/2/1 on 54% TS over 7 seasons, with a peak of 32/7/6/2/1 on 56% TS and 30.3 PER. At his peak he was on current Lebron/Durant level. Back then in the early-mid 2000s, he was like Kobe's twin on the court.

Whether it was his supporting cast or his own health, his biggest problem was consistency - when he was healthy, his teams let him down, when he was injured, he had solid talent around him. He deserves a decent amount of flack for his lack of rings, but for the most part he was dealt a really shitty hand. Seriously, give a healthy prime T-Mac some of the good supporting casts Durant, Lebron, and Kobe have had over the years, and he's winning championships.

Just thinking about this topic makes me sad..Tracy was just an unreal talent.
