Obvoiusly Cole is a decent backup PG for the Heat knowing the system and playing within himseld the minutes defined to him.

HEAT need a point guard that can drive the ball , pass, but make spot up open shoots,.
On top of that he needs to man up and play better than average defense on the point, as well as SG's sometimes.

Who do you think fits the bill
??????????? :confusedshrug:

I pick a guy in PHX right now ,, thoughts

You're living in a pipe dream if you think Miami can land Dragic. That is my thought.

I think Cole could be a starter in the league. Obviously he wouldnt be the best, or even a first second or third option but he plays off of Wade/Bosh/LeBron well enough.

Yeah, I would go after Lowry if I were the Heat because Carmelo probably isn't a realistic option. Go after Lowry and then try to get some help on the front line. For example, I'd look into McRoberts if I were Miami. Good passer who can knock down shots from the perimeter. I'd give Jordan Hill a look too.

Don't know how cap room will work but they definitely have an opportunity to retool. I think going after Carmelo would be a mistake.

Jordan Hill is a good example of a role player , boards hustle, and sticking to his role.
Once a core is in place , players like that can be the difference !

Lowry's a great choice, but for the price he'd command, theyd better allow him to play his game (initiate offense/move the ball). otherwise, youre just going to use him as a spot up shooter (which he is good at), but if thats the case, why not save yourself some money and go after steve blake, or try you luck with darren collison.

I still think Bledsoe comes to Miami.... for a sign and trade... if not an out right price.

Any opinion on Shabazz Napier?

The Miami Heat have apparently targeted a point guard as the primary upgrade possible in Thursday's NBA Draft.

With the struggles of Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole throughout the postseason, especially in the Finals, the Heat are reportedly interested in former UConn point guard Shabazz Napier. According to an ESPN.com report, the Heat are in "aggressive" talks of trading up from the No. 26 pick with the intention of selecting Napier.

"I don't know," Napier said. "It's cool to be in the talks because it's definitely a blessing. I'm just trying to enjoy myself out here with my family. Thursday when it comes, we will find out."

Has great range which is never a bad thing and seems to love the big moment. There are going to be some hidden gems in this draft due to the overall talent pool.

the big 3 probably wouldn't mind playing with Darren Collison

I think he provides enough intangibles ala Mike Miller

I swear I did not throw this out there just because he went to UCLA tho
