Strip away markets and ask yourself: Why wouldn't Aldridge-Lillard-Batum core be supremely attractive partnership for max free-agent star?

What do you guys think? :coleman:

We should be, but ultimately we won't be.. too small of a city. Not enough strip joints and clubs for the majority of these buffoons.

I can't see how they'd have space. Batum makes huge money.

We don't really.. not without trading parts of our core.

I've been saying all season, that in a perfect world, the Blazers relinquish Batum via trade, move some pieces around, and sign Melo.

Even did it in 2K (traded LA for Love too, kept Matthews for his elite defense) :lol

Portland would be smart to capitalize on this window that they have with Lillard playing at an All Star level on a rookie deal and make a serious title run with LA in his prime.

Not too high on the coach, but it should be just as attractive an option as Houston imo.

Players with lots of options don't willingly go all the way to the NorthWest. Not saying it's a bad place but...you think Lebron or Melo or an A List free agent will choose it over NY, LA, Chi, Miami, Dallas..?

I dunno. Never been there, but Oregon seems like a nice, chill state with nice scenery and a good place to settle down

IF I was in the NBA playing, and I heard Portland was getting Google Fiber, I'd demand a trade right away.

If you're NY and you can get Batum,Thomas Robinson,Dorrell WRight and future 1sts for Melo, or lose him for free to someone else, I pull the trigger. You send him out west and keep your cap space open for Durant, if that's the goal.

That wouldnt be a bad deal but I'd want Wesley Mathews and Batum, Robinson plus a future unprotected 1st.

The f*ck are you talking about? Portland has the highest density of strippers in the country.

I haven't looked at the cap space, but Portland would be a great spot if a high level player is looking for a serious contender (once they joined.) Then again, it may be unrealistic with our financial situation. Paul Allen is willing to pay out the ass doe.

Uh, Portland ranks among the highest in the nation in strip clubs per capita.

pfffttt, you want a hand job too? This isn't the Nuggets scenario where they trade him while he is still under contract, Melo is already a free agent.

:biggums:

Portland has the most strip clubs per capita in the US. But otherwise, I agree. Portland does not have a strong hip hop based nightlife. Our nightlife is fill with indy rock and Irish rock bands.

And the Blazers executive brass would kindly tell you to **** off, and enjoy losing Melo for wisps of air.

Why would I care what they think? Just saying if I have to possibly do a S&T thats what I would ask for... If not they could kick rocks their isnt anyway Melo even considers going there anyway.
