Lana del Rey has an amazing team behind her. Her image is so cool and sultry. The music videos are all vintage. Even the title of this album is a reference to a clockwork orange.

She knows if she can win over the guys, the pop loving chicks are an easy target.

Your right, good music is good music regardless of who is making or it but I saw her on a chat show once (I think it was graham nortons show) talking about how tough she had it trying to break into the industry and making out like she did everything on her own, I believe he asked her if her rich father owning the clubs she played in helped at all and she said no because people who like her father don't like her music. Stupid answer that doesn't even answer the question. Anyway I do think her music is MUCH better than most of the other rubbish on the radio today and she does at least have some talent.

I feel you bro and agree with your sentiments, I'm a fan and have been for awhile. When I saw she had a new album out I got kinda pumped and went to spotify. I also really liked her song they used on The Great Gatsby, she has a very methodical haunting kinda voice that sucks you in.

I dig her so I'll be checking this out more in the coming days. She's got a dreamy, laid back quality about her stuff so don't expect her music to sound much like say Ellie Goulding.

This is literally the exact same stuff though as the last album... which I found somewhat refreshing. She needed to get some other people on there because she's not talented enough to be a total solo artist. But yea it's like been there done that at least to me.
