Very disappointed from Portugal and I was expecting a better outing. I thought even the US players were kinda like :wtf:

I thought Portugal played fine in the 2012 Euros and played exciting but that isn't the case this campaign. Like you said CR7 is hurt right now and he can't do squat. He just looked out of it and god knows what a healthy CR7 would have done.. Nani and Eder are both garbage and I don't even care if Nani scored. Veleso at LB was kinda crazy as well as he was beaten several times and he doesn't have the pace or positioning to play there.

Take away the first few minutes and the last 30 seconds and we pretty much controlled the game, much to my surprise. This US team is a lot better than I anticipated we'd be.

I'm not sure. Guys like Cameron and Besler have always been prone to those stupid mistakes and I'm not sure it's something they can just fix. Cameron for example is known for his bad positioning and getting beat by his man as a result of that. Besler always looks like a nervous train wreck out there and I feel like he's just a mistake waiting to happen. We just have to hope having Jones, Bradley and Beckerman is ample coverage so they don't **** up.

But one thing is that we look great on the counter. Beasley and Johnson gives us great width + pace and Bradley more times that not is able to pick them out on the counter.

BTW, Zusi with a great game. His type of game is perfect for this WC where people are lacking fitness and drive.
