Caron Butler was a damn good player for the Wizards. Not a knock on him at all but i don't see Melo or Paul Pierce in his game im sorry.A 6'8 Caron Butler is still a All Star level caliber player and he will have a good career.

I see Carmelo Anthony's body with Andre Igyy's gameplay, just not as athletic.

Iggy with less athleticism is a solid role player at best.

I think if Parker gets drafted by the Bucks he will be another Glenn Robinson. Good career and good offensive player, but not a big impact player. He will need other guys around him. I'm not saying that his play style will be the same as Big Dog, but what he will bring to the team.

His athleticism is underrated. Not as atheletic as Iggy obviously, but not that far off honestly. He really should shed 5-10 pounds of body fat and gain about 5 pounds of muscle.

Jabari's much more polished than both Butler and PP at the same age.

Iggy is a top 5 perimeter defender at worst though. :confusedshrug: Parker was benched for his D in the tournament I believe.

True. I was only thinking about offense when I posted, should have clarified. I think if he sheds weight he could be a pretty good defender onr day though.

Maybe. I agree that Parker's an underrated athlete though.

I feel like a lot of people forget when evaluating Wiggins/Parker that they're watching two 18-year-old guys, not finished products. These guys just got their drivers licenses a couple of years ago and we're making direct comparisons to grown men.

That's a tough thing to do. Even the best players in the league were not what you see now when they were 18.

More mythology being spread. Jabari banged all game against a college 5 who was bigger than him. At end of the game, the opposing team subbed in a smaller lineup full of shooters, all SG. Banging in the post all games leaves you slow to guard smaller players.

Even Bosh acknowledges this. Wigginstans love to dwell on this incident.

Parker plays absolutely nothing like Iggy.

Melo is the guy I think of whenever I watch Jabari.

I like how you listed 6'8 as if thats much different than Caron Butler's height of 6'7.

Caron Butler is 6'6 they just list him @ 6'7 but he is the same height as kobe idk why they lie about his height.

Im saying his peak will be similar to Caron Butler but with a extra 2 inches he will be slightly better. That is no where close to carmelo.

That is a very strange comparison. I'm not seeing it. :confusedshrug:

Let's see how he will develop. I don't think Caron was as good as a scorer as Parker when he was 19.

Butler plays more bully ball. Parker takes (and sometimes makes) really poor shot attempts. Parker is better with the ball in his hands. Butler plays tougher, imo, and could excel on the other side of the ball. Parker apparently struggles on defense.

Don't see it.

Caron Butler, maybe. Butler had a solid career.

Igoudala though, no way. Igoudala was a point forward, while Jabari has somewhat questionable handles and no court vision/distribution skills to speak of. Plus Igoudala was always a great perimeter defender, which Parker is not.

Glenn robinson with a little Melo seems like the perfect comparison. Iguodala and butler were at 1 point in time top 3-5 perimeter defenders. Parker out of the top 5 picks this year is probably the worst defender.

He will have a disappointing career if that's as good as he becomes.

Jabari is far better than any of you dudes can even imagine. At 6'9" he can do it all - great handles, nice J, and can take it to hole with power. He is also a very good athlete. The D will come. You dudes just hating on Jabari because you want Wiggins to go #1.:lol

Lies.............no 1 learns defense out of nowhere in the nba...Anyone who has good defense in the nba was a great defender in college. Why would you get defense out of nowhere when all the players are faster and better in the pros?

Anyone at that size can be a Paul Pierce if they put in the time to work on their footwork/post move.

It's different than when players get the ball in the post, and the first thing they want to do is to swing it and face the basket. You have to legitimately learn how to attempt your shot with your back to the basket until it is time for the release. Or unless you can get positioning from your fakes.

Paul Pierce just mastered the art of doing it by creating enough space so he can get his shot off with minimum elevation. Even outside the painted area.
