Does he really.
I always saw him as a nice energy/bench player but dude just looks like a nutcase too many times

He always said it was his life time dream to play for the Lakers.
Why would he leave a team he always wanted to play for, and will give him the most minutes and dumbest shot attempts?

he opted out for a better contract + more years. but he's already stated he'd take less than his open market value to stay with the Lakers.

He is too much like JR Smith. He will take less to play in a big market because he can party like a rockstar.
Their dedication to basketball and winning is non-existant. Waiting to see how Phil gets JR off this team.

He already played for them, moving on now to his next dream, a championship.

No one knew this guy before Lakers. He would lose popularity.

He's a nice player to have off the bench but he's not irreplaceable. If he takes a paycut to stay then good, if not then good riddance.
no pun intended

A paycut from last year? That's like nothing.

He's not garbage. He is a not a starter type of player but good player off the bench.

He was making just a tick above minimum.. there is no paycut
Being realistic, he's worth about 3-5 mil to a team.. somewhere in there is what he'll get in his next contract

I meant relative to what other teams would offer him. He was on about $1m last season which was a steal IMO. I'd offer him the MLE and no more

Why the anger? Is it because he won those last 2 games?

He actually has a pretty bad rap for being cocky and flashy but in his year here as a Laker, I saw nothing but a great team player who came to play every night. When he got hurt, he worked to get back and he honestly played pretty hard out there last season. He is a nice guy to have off the bench for any team.

It'll be funny as **** when it turns out that he cost the LA Exum or Embiid.
