View Full Version : Cavs can become historically stacked
Three way trade:
Cavs- Love and Afflalo
Twolves- Varejo, Bennett, Gee, #4 and #12 picks.
Magic- Jack and #1 pick.
Then sign Bran and re-sign Hawes
Irving
Afflalo
Bran
Love
Hawes
Thompson and Waiters off the bench.

Do they have space for LeBron if they pull that off?
Also Thompson definitely starts ahead of that scrub Hawes

Not sure I'd like a Hawes/Love front court.

We aren't re-signing Hawes, and I'm not sure TT will be on this team next year.

Too bad trade talks with Love stalled today. Cavs have almost abandoned talks with Love because it's being reported he will not agree to resign if he goes there. They're not going to trade away future assets for a 1 year rental.

I'd be fine with it, he's on the decline. He has trouble staying healthy, and there's no better time to trade him during his career than right now. He can help out a legit contender and his salary would come off the books for next season and he'll probably be asking for less money than $9+ million a season.

If we declined his option he's a free agent. If not he's set for ~$9M. I say we decline and resign him.

AV's defense and leadership > Love's scoring and empty stats.

Cleveland pushed on deal centered on No. 1 pick for Kevin Love, but his refusal to re-sign w/ Cavs has killed talks, sources tell Yahoo.

This could be good for us... tell LeBron, hey if you sign with us we also get Kevin Love.. and vice versa.

Yeah I think KG refused the Celtics trade until they got Ray Allen.

History speaks otherwise, but it's the Cavs, what do you expect? If he goes West it'll probably be Phoenix, Golden State or the Lakers (down the road). If it's the East it'd have to be a top 3 team. He said he wants to win, but hasn't shown he can win at this level. Not one season over .500 since he's been playing.
Cap space does not exist in this world
Check your facts bro.
Cavs outgoing salary: 23.9 million. Incoming salary 22.2 million. They actually create more cap space with the trade. Bran would be signed with the cap space. Hawes would be re-signed for the MLE.

Why can't Bran and Love just get on the phone with each other and hammer out the details?

That's not historically stacked.
