Why was The 2012 draft considered weak?

I made a thread that the 2012 class was deeper than the 2003 class and got laughed at. But 2 years later only Thomas Robinson is a bust out of the top 9 picks. Think about it

Austin Rivers is a bust.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Harison Barnes, and Terrence Ross haven't been that special either.

It is considered somewhat weak and i think that's fair. Most people though AD would basically be poormans KG at worst. Kidd Gilchrist has been disappointing for sure. Beal and Waiters are both just ok and have problems with decision making but Beal can fit his role much better. Certainly neither are elite though. TRob although he had a nice performance last year has been quite lackluster.

Lillard...no one knew he would be THAT good. I mean, he's debatably up there with AD. Drummond fell and he clearly shouldn't have cause he's sick. He, Lillard and AD make this draft something special. The rest of the people aren't very good from this draft with the exception of Sully. Basically overall you had some nice pieces but the rest isn't that impressive. I DEFINITELY wouldn't call it deep.

I don't think most people think it was weak per se, especially considering the abortion that was the 2013 draft.

You've got two guys who are already all-stars, another guy who looks like he'll be a top 5 SG for the next decade, a potential top 5 center, and a bunch of solid starters and role players.

Davis seems like the only MVP caliber player out of the draft so it's not legendary or anything, but it certainly wasn't weak.

I wouldn't say it is considered weak at all.

It was a very good draft though. In 2 seasons it has already pulled 2 all-stars and 1 all NBA'er.
