Some guys prefer jumping off of two feet. I've compared Wiggins' ceiling to a better shooting Dominique Wilkins and, interestingly, he was also a two-footed jumper.

I don't think it is an issue for Wiggins the way PB plays it, though. His athleticism is not in question and I think a lot of the time his gathering before jumping is due more to his loose handle than an inability to jump off of one foot. Normally, guys who exclusively jump off of two feet do not have a great first step when driving, because that's also about exploding off of one foot.

Wiggins does have a really explosive first step. He also has one of the best second jumps you'll ever see.

There are valid critiques when it comes to Wiggins' game. He doesn't like going left, he has a loose handle and his jumper needs to get more consistent. But, I don't think his athleticism is up for debate. The guy is freakish.

It's funny that Bird tried to block that.

There's no right or wrong, really. Plenty of successful and hyper athletic players for each.

I honestly don't get why being dunked on is that big of a deal.

I couldn't jump off 2 feet worth shit until I started playing beach v-ball. It's actually improved my rebounding being better off 2 feet.

they both have their uses during the game. typically you go off of one leg when you're being trailed on during a fastbreak or driving in without much space. double leg is for rebounds, blocking, and typical power offensive moves

It's not that its a huge deal, it's just not nice to get dunked on.

Lol get outta here. Bird knows he's not as athletic as these guys, but he still tried to stop it.

I have the utmost ****ing respect for people who try to stop dunks, even when it's obvious they're overmatched.

It's not letting ego get in the way of trying to win. I do NOT respect people who try to stay away for fear of being posterized-- they're essentially giving free 2 pts just so they don't get laughed at.

great footworks generally leads to a double leg jump at the end of your last move.
