he traded ray felton for a good point guard!
he got derek fisher for that super dumb coach.

its really not that hard to improve a team with guys like
raymond felton
jr smith
carmelo anthony
amare stoudemire
andrea bargnani
replace any of these guys with 5th graders and you've already improved the combined IQ

true, but it's hard to get other teams to take on these guys' contracts. in bargnani's case, it's close to impossible.

Jose is literally better than all there PG's combined, Sammy is not even that bad either he's just inconsistant. Good trade imo.

Giving up Chanlder hurts.
but I think they are making a serious push to keep Melo actually.
Pairing Calderon/Hardaway Jr. is not a bad pairing at all.
Say what you want about Amare's contract, but he still can contribute.
How they'll replace the Center spot later down the road is up for debate, since that's been a struggle for pretty much everyteam.
But I actually think they want Melo to stay and would like to have a legitimate serious conversation with him.

Longer contract, at nearly twice the money. Tyson was already an expirer, meh.

He may lose Chandler and Melo... the Knicks two best players. Still has Amare, Bargs, and JR Smith under contract though.
I still can't believe anyone would give JR Smith a multi-year contract. :oldlol:

Phil Loves height with his players.
How much he can squeeze out of Dalembert, Bargnani, Stoudamire, Odom.
It's not impossible if they even just get a play maker at the 3 position who does just a little bit of everything.
Since that was the position he played himself.
Fisher called Luke Walton for an assistant coaching job yet?
