Who do you think can play ball better right now, Pip or MJ?

Do you mean if they played on an NBA team which one would have more value or just generally how good they are?

I mean, if they showed up at a local rec center and just played some pick up ball, who do you think would be the better player?

One on one, Jordan. 5 on 5 with regular people, probably Pippen.

Jordan was holding his own and dropping 40-50 point games at age 38/39.

All while Pippen could barely walk, played 23 games with Chicago averaging a whopping 6/3, then retiring at the same age before a very brief (and slightly impressive considering he was 42) comeback a few years later overseas.

Gimme Jordan.

The one that would play around with current NBA players during practice.

Wasn't MJ schooling MKG just last year?

And he's hailed as a good defender by some.

Both probably wouldn't make it a full season without playing very very restricted minutes. I think MJ could produce more off the bench in a 2 minute period than Pippen. And if you had to keep them in the game for an extended period of time then I think Pippen would hurt something first. So MJ.

MJ might be out of shape, but based on the OJ Mayo, MKG stories floatin' around da GOAT has this one.

Pippen, he was the better player and to this day still looks slim and fit. Jordans a fatass.

Neither of them have any athleticism left, but MJ's jumper is as good as ever, so as a spot up shooter he is still better than a lot of NBA players now.

Plus Jordan would sell out crowds even if he is 60, so from $ perspective he is an obvious choice too.

True, which is why I would bet on MJ too, although MJ did take 5 years of breaks so he did not have the mileage of a typical 38-39 year old. People ignore that when touting how well he played at that age. MJ basically only played 13 1/2 seasons. Pippen made the playoffs every year of his career, except that final one, so he had extra wear and tear from being in the playoffs every year.
