View Full Version : Draft night

So far somewhat to plan.

1) Wiggens

2) Parker

3) Embiid... a gamble for Philly I guess

4) Aaron Gordon... surprise. A big man rises up from projected 6 -10 for the Magic

5) Exum - Utah is laughing

06-26-2014, 08:10 PM
Now the guard teams...

Celtics Lakers

Marcus Smart or ???

Does it drive Tyler down the board or up ?

06-26-2014, 08:19 PM
Celtics - Smart

Lakers - Randal...

..just as predicted by Mr Chamberlain.

06-26-2014, 08:25 PM
Nik Stak at 8 to the Kings - congrats to a Canadian

06-26-2014, 08:39 PM
9 Vonleah - value at 9 said SI

10 Payton rise to 76ers.

Lots of "not intuitive" picks so far where you think teams already have their young guy of the future in that position.

Philly drafts a big man that is hurt and a PG of the future and its NOT 2013...

maybe they want to roll two line ups out at teams with no drop off ?

06-26-2014, 08:56 PM
I don't know how much longer I can listen to Bill Simmons.

06-26-2014, 08:57 PM
11 McDermott the scorer to Nuggets oops Bulls is reported in a 2 for one and save cap space....

12 Saric the PF to Orlando after picking a PF....

Mind you Saric is in Euroball they say for 2 -3 more pending buyout.

Again not too intuitive about the Magic when lots of shooters available..

Big man premium at play ?

Mannix at SI says heading to Philly

06-26-2014, 09:00 PM
13 Zach Levine PG or SG ?

Twolves are set I thought with Rubio but Minny picks Levine

06-26-2014, 09:04 PM
I don't know how much longer I can listen to Bill Simmons.

No kidding. I want to punch him in the face every time he speaks.

14 Suns - TJ Warren is off the board and will not be available to the Raptors

06-26-2014, 09:11 PM
15 Hawks - Adrein Payne is off the board and not available to Raps

06-26-2014, 09:21 PM
16 Nurik C Croatia... Nuggets / Bulls

06-26-2014, 09:30 PM
Here we go

17 James Young Celtic

06-26-2014, 09:34 PM
18 Tyler Ennis - Suns

06-26-2014, 09:35 PM
Not sure if I am relieved or disappointed. Suppose I wont know till we see Klows wet siggy in ink on a Raptor contract.

06-26-2014, 09:36 PM
19 Garry Harris - Nuggets Bulls

06-26-2014, 09:47 PM
What ?

06-26-2014, 09:55 PM
Seriously with Rodney Hood and KJ McDaniels on the board ????

Bruno ??

06-26-2014, 09:56 PM
That Memphis deal better be real and even still Bruno would be available in the next round for cash

06-26-2014, 09:59 PM
22 Jordon Adams UCLA. Grizz...

Is that our pick ?

06-26-2014, 10:00 PM
Clint Capella could have been stashed over in France for another year - jeez Masai .....

I know you are a genius but Bruno and Jordan if the rumor is even true ?

06-26-2014, 10:01 PM
So if Lowry leaves and with no immediate help from a draft pick, last year was pretty much a complete waste?

06-26-2014, 10:10 PM
So if Lowry leaves and with no immediate help from a draft pick, last year was pretty much a complete waste?

Don't think so. We have 5 PG's on the roster right now and possibly looking to get Ennis in a trade for this one.

They'll figure it out.

Is MLSE Management incapable of drafting American born College players???

Does anyone who works there ever realize our best ever players... Vince Bosh MoPete Mighty Mouse were American born college players ?

Is anyone actually paying attention ???

Why would the Suns give up Ennis for a Brazillian player 4 years away ? What else has to be done to make that deal sweet enough for the Suns to even consider it ? Do we throw in an asset like Vasquez for free ???

Bruno could have been bought for cash at pick 45 if your really wanted him.

Hood - McDaniels might have been could have been a position of strength to decide on Ross or an asset to parley in some 4 player deal

06-26-2014, 10:26 PM
We have 3 maybe PGs on the Roster.

Lowry is a FA - I didn't see the signing yet.

Vasquez is RFA and we have to qualify him. Hope some team doesnt make an offer we cant match.

Bucyks is on a non guaranteed NBDL contract.

You want Ennis - draft Napier and throw in cash or a 2nd rounder and the Suns get a little cap relief.

Just cuz Masai's associations with BWOutB...bullship.

Even if they wanted Bruno they could have had him with their first 2nd round pick and then he's also not draining the guaranteed contract hit...

This has no logical explanation. :(

06-26-2014, 10:39 PM
I watched that pick thinking 'man, Adam Silver is really struggling to say "Clint Capela"'.

Baffling pick, but who knows, he could be the Brazilian Greek Freak

06-26-2014, 10:45 PM

Stein says that many believed he wouldn't make it to 37.

06-26-2014, 10:46 PM
@RicBucher: Source: Toronto looking to S&T Kyle Lowry to Miami for cash and future picks. Part II: Bosh opts out, returns to Toronto.

Not Bosh! :(

06-26-2014, 10:55 PM
Bosh ?

After all that Fan 590 interview by Masai that we want Klow ??? That Klow knows what he has here. After Lewike says he can sign him ??

06-26-2014, 11:02 PM
In the end it's still Lowry's choice.

Assuming you get similar money, who wouldn't choose Miami over Toronto?

06-26-2014, 11:04 PM
@RicBucher: Now hearing that Norris Cole would also be part of the Lowry-to-Miami deal.

Two time champion! :oldlol:

DeAndre Daniels and Xavier Thames are the final picks by the Raps.

Take back the Thames comment

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 2m
Brooklyn has acquired the 59th and 60th picks, so Xavier Thames and Corey Jefferson will belong to them, source tells Yahoo.

Some info from a North American source: Utah and Phoenix were hot after Caboclo, would have taken him if on the board with next picks
