There are the current odds on the World Cup. The numbers below show how much you would win on a $100 bet, so for example if you bet $100 on Chile and they won you would win an additional $3650. Who would you pick? Consider how much money you could potentially win as well.

Brazil +310
Argentina +440
Germany +440
Netherlands +850
France +875
Colombia +1950
Belgium +2150
Mexico +3450
Chile +3650
Uruguay +4850
Costa Rica +5850
USA +9500
Greece +12500
Switzerland +15000
Nigeria +26500
Algeria +31500

Netherlands have impressed me the most so far so I would go with them.

I enjoy placing low-risk high reward bets, so I put $10 on both Nigeria and Algeria to win. I understand they are huge long shots but I could win $2650 or $3150 on just a $10 bet.

I won $700 when the Giants won the Super Bowl in 2012 on a $40 bet, and I trust the site I am using.

I really like what I'm seeing from the Frenchies. They're a pretty decent go @ +875 me thinks...

French and Dutch are probably the best risk-reward scenario at those odds if you're wagering at least a moderate amount. If you're just gonna drop 100 or something maybe go for Chile or Belgium.

Probably the Dutch if you wanna be safe but Belgium is also a dark horse

I prefer betting on highly correlated events that have better payouts... For instance if you think Netherlands will win you can get RVP at 10/1 or Robben at 16/1 for golden boot.

Netherlands,Germany,France in that order
followed by Brazil have the best chance.
Brazil struggled somewhat and Argentina had an
easy as hell group

If they all go far the semis are

Brazil vs France/Germany
Argentina vs Netherlands

France,Netherlands,Germany did the best in their groups
Germany beat Por 4-0
Dutch beat Spain 5-1
France beat Swiss 5-2

Argentina barely had a 1-0 vs Bosnia which wouldve went a different way if it wanted for the offside goal call
Brazil had its ups and downs
And while Ger beat Por 4-0,they drew with Ghana 2-2
While the Dutch I dont think are going to take anyone lightly like the Spanish did especially with being 2nd last time and Chile going on a roll

So I see it playing out, even with this Americas ref bias
the Runners Up from 2006&2010

France vs Netherlands in Final
3rd place
Brazil vs Argentina

France has always been a tough draw for Brazil and Ger can beat Brazil too
so Finals is

Netherlands vs France or Ger

France wins Finals

Brasil would be my choice if I was betting but it's paying too little, same as Argentina and Germany.
I would say Netherlands has the best chance among those who aren't paying low.

I don't think that anyone outside those 4 has a chance.

Have to agree with this, those two by far look to be the best value bets.

risk/reward combination of netherlands is by far the best.

argentinia sucks so they will most likely make the finals

germany and brazil will have an epic semifinal and the winner will be more exhausted than the cruising netherlands

If anyone wants to place a bet you could send me a PM, I have about $30 in my online account and could place a small bet for someone if they want to paypal me. I could send a confirmation email of the bet being placed.

Cant believe the odds before Holland v Spain for NLw inning the tournament were 36. Then after Spain 11 and now after Chile 8.

That offside call which wouldve been a clear goal for Bosnia
wouldve definitely changed things.

The Americas bias is clear in this WC.
A uruguay player bites someone in the box and No call, penalty, nothing
while in 06 Zidane gets a red card after a Replay.

The Clear Brazil flop against Croatia in the box which gave them a penalty
against Croatia.

Every Single group with 2 American teams had Both Advance.

Brazil,Mexico
Costa Rica,Uruguay

Nearly every single American team has gone on to the knockout stage

The way USA was allowed to play against Por

If I was actually going to do this I would probably drop $100 on USA to win almost $10k

odds are way against that happening so likely just throwing away $100 but fck it, would be absolutely amazing if they actually pulled it off.

If USA wins,

That's really interesting. I've never gambled, but with 16 teams left, I'd probably bet 5-10 on each of the bottom 8-10 teams. WC soccer is kind of similar to baseball in that the significantly better team only wins 55-65% of the time, so I'd take that risk. Anything can happen in one game. Idk.

yep I have watched all 3 US games

US beat Ghana but Ghana was actually the "better team"

US lost to Portugal but the US was actually the "better team"

on the flip side though US lost to Germany who was actually better...

that is true

any single elimination competition is bound to have upsets

Im not sure about baseball though. I think the team with better pitching usually wins

That's close to what I did, I bet $5-10 on 4 or 5 teams. But yeah that's how I feel, anything can happen.

Algeria's odds actually got worse after the games yesterday even though they didnt play lol a $10 bet on Algeria this morning to win it all would pay $4100

France at those odds for sure. They dominated their group somehow didn't score a goal in their last game but they were resting guys and their midfield looks dominant.
